I think he is absolutely the worst teacher here! HORRIBLE experience- the course content (Case Management) wasn't bad, but he is useless. For the first two weeks, students were emailing each other, wondering if we had a teacher. Uninvolved, doesn't respond to emails, slow grader with no comments. I will never take him again, wouldn't recommend him.

He is tough but usually fair - he could defiantly interact with the class more and give more specific feedback. Knows the business though and is the kind of teacher one might want for a mentor in the industry. The assignments are not too hard, but you need to apply yourself and think about what you are saying. He will dock you for poor grammar!!

This teacher made a very difficult subbject matter actually interesting. He was helpful and understanding of individual students difficulties and graded very fairly.

i took the 6 credit course and it was a lot of work but i enjoyed it. this was not an online course so i think it was harder. i liked him, i guess sometimes he could come off rude but i think he just expects that you do your work. i'm not sure it's rudeness, i think he's just tough. i learned a lot.

I was scared to have this professor after seeing the comments, and he is a stickler for correct grammer usuage, but I have found him easy to work with and helpful. THERE IS A LOT OF WORK with this class, so get a head start when you can.

This man is tough, true... but all great teachers are. As far as rudeness and such... you only receive it if you have provoked it. Don't deny that fact. He is a good teacher BECAUSE he thinks outside the box.

I learned a lot from this class. Prof Matthews' comments were encouraging and thought provoking. His course outline and the module guides were the most detailed and helpful I've encountered. I would take another course with him but I only have one more to complete my degree.

This professor is horrible, to the point I would never go back to ESC. He is terrible with responding to emails, he never does! The course is wonderful, just do not take it with him!!!!!!
