Absolutely loved having him for english 1a. The papers he assigned were actually very interesting, and I really enjoyed writing on the topics. My favorite thing about his class was that he would do conference days were you talk privately about your performance in the class and he really helps expand your writing. Coolest person ever as well.

Really cool guy, lots of essays but is expected from an English course. He gives really good feedback on essays and allows you to revise all essays however many times you want. He has a really cool personality and cares about his students, definitely recommend.

Professor Stratton is very good. He's very laid back and organized in his teaching. He's very helpful and gives you a chance to fix any mistakes. There was a lot of researching for the papers. A lot of controversial topics, but he definitely encourages to write about what you want, to think outside the box. I recommend him.

Professor Stratton was great, he is super nice and straight forward with what he wants. I had him for a Hybrid English 1A class received an A. Not a ton of homework or essays. I'd defiantly take his class again.

Prof Stratton made Eng1A a really easy class. You can always do revisions and he gives pretty good feedback on papers. Overall he's pretty chill and will always clarify or answer any questions.

I had Stratton for World lit and he was really unprepared at the beginning of the semester but stood consistent with his syllabus. There was 1 individual presentation and a group presentation. The group presentation and a journal is due in place of a final, which is really cool considering there was no midterm exam as well. Take the class!

Difficult to work with. Expectations are vague. If he doesn't like you, it's no mystery. Uses "tough topics" to provoke thought and discussion among students, but steamrolls discussion if it goes in a direction he doesn't like. Can be passive-aggressive. Work assigned is tough, and there is a LOT of it.

Loved his class...we did much more as a class in class than anything, a few research papers not too hard as long as you pick a good topic, and he lets you revise the papers to up your grade...very helpful.. definitely recommend him

Amazing teacher!! I have hard time writing in english, because i'm an international student. However, by working hard and follow all assignments, you'll get at least a B. He allows rewriting. So that, you can get a better grade. If you show your involment in is class, he will recognize your efforts by giving you good grades!! highly recommended

Stratton was awesome!! Had him for 550 this semester and just found out today that I passed! He was pretty laid back. We had three papers to write. One a descriptive essay, a process paper, and an argument essay.essay ?, and also had sentence corrections, etc. I recommend him.

Great instructor! He lets you re-write the essays for a better grade and he makes the class fun. He's charming, and kind of looks like Robert Downey Jr. too :) Highly recommend taking this professor.
