Comment:
Take Mirov and you get hard test and pointless power points that are "very good" and "beautiful". You'll never have the physics taught step by step or learn much of anything. I learned Newtonian mechanics in engineering courses after 221 and learned electrical physics in EE312 after taking 222. Got a B in 221 and a C in 222. Find an alternative.

Comment:
He's an awful professor. He lectures only on theory and expects you to apply it on tests. He's generous with grading, but if you've never taken any sort of physics before it's going to be awful. You get to pick 5 out of 7 problems on tests, and you can just try all 7 and he'll pick the 5 best to grade. He's very condescending if you go to his office

I don't understand physics at all but I made a very high A in Dr Mirov's class. Physics makes no sense but that's not Mirov's fault. His exams are super easy and if you attend lab and do the homework, it is impossible to not make an A. Dr Mirov is an amazing professor teaching a terrible subject so take him if you need PH 222 but find physics hard.

One of the easier physics teachers, very boring class though (it may just be the subject)

I came to this class after studying my butt off for a B in Calculus based Physics 1. I spent far less time in this class and easily made an A.

Can be a bit hard to understand, but his tests are the easiest thing I've ever seen! He's more than willing to help if you care to go to his office (but it's hidden...)

He has an excellent understanding of the material he is covering. He will help you to understand the material if you are willing to try.

REALLY hard to understand (Russian), and not a very good teacher. Kept saying the material was so easy when it wasn't. Although he does curve if the whole class makes a bad grade on a test.
