Comment:

Professor Gomez is one of the best professors at Chaffey. While his class is tough, he gives you the knowledge and tools to pass his class with an A. To pass the class, just complete all the optional practices, assignments and homework. The tests are not difficult as long as you study. There is a lot of extra credit options. Just try!

He is the best social stats teacher I have taken. this was my third time taking this class and it was incredibly easy. He is extremely helpful and kind! The SI teacher was so helpful also! Take him you will not regret it! He is so much easier that Professor Vincent!!!!!

It is a math class so of course there is work to do and studying. he offered extra credit randomly so take advantage of that. honestly, do the work and you'll get an A. i think you have to rack up at least 518 points for an A and for exams he offered up to 30 extra pts. reach out if you need anything he's very helpful nd wants to see u pass

Prof Gomez offers a ton of extra credit! He is super funny! Sometimes it is a little hard to keep up with his lectures. Doesn't have any homework but does have plenty of practice problems. As long as you do all the practices you will be fine. His exams 50% multiple choice and 50% computational. Prepares you well for exams! No Surprises!

Prof. Gomez was awesome. Although he needs to come down to a students level only because he gets very technical. He encourages you to go to SI they help when you still don't get it. He's hilarious! He gives plenty of opportunities for E.C. so don't miss out! All in all, he's awesome I would definitely take him again.

Im so relieved I chose Sergio for stats! Hes very easy if you do everything that he asks of you. Do the practices, study guides, attend si sessions, & study a little and you should pass the class. Open note test (on math portion) & online quizzes. Sergio is a phenomenal Professor! He really encouraged me to go above & beyond in his class.

Prof was ok. My issue with him was the weird jokes that he told- sometimes inappropriate. Also, he would be really grumpy on some days and his demeanor changed. Leave your attitude at home. If you can see past some of the personal stuff, you will do fine. Just buy the work book, not the text. there are 4 tests. studyguides are helpful.

Here's the problem he needs to learn to treat everyone the same. He requires a book but we don't ever get to use it. His lectures are not clear at all. Had a very hard time in this class and if I would of listen to all the negative comments here I would of taken another professor and possibly done better. Good luck!

Professor Gomez is not only a good professor, he is a great mentor and adviser too. He makes the class interesting, the material is very carefully chosen, and this is what you get tested on if you apply for a job within the statistics field. He trains us on SPSS too, which is a very useful software used worldwide. He explains everything.

He was ok. At the beginning of the semester he was very nice and helped with any issues. As the semester progressed he seemed agitated and wouldn't give clear feedback or help. He also doesn't remind you when quizzes are due, so hopefully you check your canvas often.

I highly recommend him. He is an amazing professor. Took him for Sociology Fast track and I passed with an A. if you have any questions do not be afraid to ask, he is a really nice teacher.

Prof. Gomez is a GREAT teacher, I absolutely hate math, but he makes it really easy to understand with a lot of practice examples and work in class. There is assigned homework, but its not mandatory you dont turn anything in. Must show up to class, I feel like if you dont you wont understand whts going on. Is easy to talk to & helps you.

Prof. Gomez cares about his students and wants them to succeed. Meanwhile, he also doesnt tolerate rude and disruptive students. Extra credit opportunities available & study guides are provided for exams. Prof. Gomez is also Chaffeys Faculty Advisor of Sociology. I would advise to take advantage of his mentorship and make an appointment with him.
