This professor read verbatim from Powerpoints the entire semester and the class was hardly inspiring. Highly unorganized - lost both of my term papers and some other turned in work during the semester. Would not recommend this professor; you will not get your money's worth.

He is very biased about how the world works. He moves too quickly with lots of colorful language and he seems to delight in making people frantic. He made fun of a student in my class because she asked him a couple times to slow down. His tests are not reflective of his lectures, even though he claims otherwise.

A somewhat frustrating class. I read the textbook readings, attended class, and reviewed my notes, but was still not able to absorb the information to the high level of detail he expects on exams. I bombed both exams and made a D in the class, but made an A- in recitation and A on my paper. He flies through math applications and expects mastery.

This class is a snap if you just do the HW and glance at the book once in a while. It's not designed to weed out anyone. Reice's papers are almost instant As if you do a decent job on the research. If you've ever watched the discovery channel, you should get at least a B.

This class (ecology and evolution) sucked. It was very boring and he was very rude and intimidating. Maybe he's an ok guy out of class, but I did not enjoy him as a professor and did not do as well as I had hoped in his class.

While he is usually amenable to answering questions, he can also be extremely condescending and rude. He moves VERY quickly through the information... I would recommend comparing notes with others right after class. I did not enjoy his class at all, and I was frustrated with his teaching methods.

Nice guy who likes to get to know his students, however, you are so busy trying to quickly scribble down notes off power points, you don't understand the lecture, he moves very, quickly through the material, and does not go over any of the math examples

Excellent professor, excellent teaching methods but you had better enjoy slides. The book reads slow but you had better read it. He loves to combine little bits from the book with his class notes on his test questions.
