This class was the worst class I've ever taken! If his ID's don't kill you, then his essays will (every exam you study 40 ID's and 3 essays four pages each). His lectures are long and tedious as well as confusing. he'll go off on what seems like a tangent but turns out that story about the fox, well yea, you need to know it all. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!

One of the most intelligent people I've ever met. He's very old-fashioned - he doesn't like cellphones and his lectures are 100% oral. On average, I write 7 pages of notes every class (75 minutes). Very tough grader, but if you're interested in history and really put forth some effort, it's a very interesting class.

Dr Enright is a really good professor. He is old school, but so are a lot of professors in the history department. Go to class, read the books, do the work and you will be fine.

By far the worst professor during my undergraduate years at ECU. I'm amazed that this man can come into a university, be given a class to teach and remain employed.

this dudes a joke. talks in a monotone voice all class. doesnt let you use a laptop to take notes yet rambles on about useless stuff most of the time. about to take the first test and im going to die. also he doesnt even have a blackboard. dont show up to class late or do anything wrong because hell immediately call you out on it.

Pretty straightforward class, coming from a lazy student. As long as you go to class (mandatory) and pay some attention youll do fine. Hes a very smart guy, knows his stuff but he gets pretty sidetracked. Be sure to get the book it is helpful for the exams which are all essay/I.D's. Really not a bad class, but is not for everyone I suppose.

Enright isn't an easy teacher, and if you're expecting him to be, then you're screwed. However, he definitely knows his stuff, and if you listen in class and actually do what he recommends, you should do fine in the class. Tests are essay based. Either way, good teacher if you're interested in history, but lots of work goes into it.

He insists on attendance and that you write down everything that he says despite the fact that only 20% of it is useful information. Most of his class consists of him telling stories that are not relevant. Out of a 75 minute class only about 30 minutes are spent on course material. Tests are entirely essay based.

Incredibly smart but an awful teacher. No structure to lecture and it is hard to get through even one of his tangential discussions. He hates technology and firmly believes that he knows everything and is smarter than everyone else. Also don't bother reading any books from this decade for one of his book reports. Avoid this guy at all cost. H

He is the worst teacher i have had at ECU. he talks about random things and doesnt use a computer...AT ALL. His tests are hard and he is an even harder grader. DO NOT take him he will turn you away from history and I am a history major.

His lectures were so unstructured that by the i left the class, I had forgotten everything that he had talked about. He hates technology and didn't allow laptops in the classroom, as well as a recording device. The tests were fair, but the essays were vague and it was a lot to memorize.

He is the worst professor I have ever had. He does not allow you to bring a computer in the classroom or any type of recording device. His lectures are so unstructured it's hard to take notes and even comprehend him since he goes off subject a lot. I could write a page about how horrible he is, dont take him I urge you

This class was fair. He wasn't too demanding and the tests were reasonable. There was a great deal of information to memorize but if you followed the lectures it wasn't bad. I am pretty sure he wore the same outfit everyday

He really knows what he's talking about. I recorded the class along with taking notes so that I could listen at home and not miss anything. Did really horrible on the first test, but I didn't study, so. Take notes, STUDY, do your book report and you'll do fine. Plus, he makes jokes that only he laughs at & it's actually kind of funny.

He really knows his stuff, but he grades incredibly hard, and I had to read 7 books for his class. They cover different stuff from the notes too. The challenge is not worth the incredibly high level of difficulty

Enright is great. Don't expect him to remember you or your name despite how many classes of his you take. if you miss ONE day..that is about a third of your essay exam. In the lower level classes he comes off as mean at first, but he's just weeding out the slackers looking for an easy elective. I completely recomend his History of Christianity.
