the lectures are so good and the class is easy! :) Participate the class discussion cuz you can get some extra credits (it really helps) he is pretty much likely to help you if you need him he puts the lecture notes on etudes so it's better to listen to his lecture rather than to take notes and miss what he says. you can bring a note card for tests

RUN FOREST,RUN! Away from this boring, boring, boring teacher. He has a temper, doesn't post assignments in a timely manner, and is not good at explaining. Oh and did I mention it's boring? One plus, he does allow one notecard during tests. Other than that, nothing else nice to say, and believe me, I tried to think of something.

Online class is absolutely ridiculous. DO NOT TAKE HIM. It's a philosophy class but he grades EVERYTHING strictly on accuracy not effort and these weekly 3 page essays are worth 5 points. Has absolutely no empathy on students and their effort. Deadlines on tests are incredibly unclear. I take a lot of online classes and this one really sucks.

Great summer class. Naturally, the course will require a lot of reflecting and effort but Dr. Haghighi is good at explaining everything. Helpful Tips: Make sure you are very attentive during the first couple weeks so you can build the foundation. Also, print out all the resources on Etudes and take notes along the way. Very knowledgeable teacher.

Took an online class with this "teacher" ... DON'T DO IT!!! Guy's lecture notes are incomplete, the questions on the homework and on quizzes/tests are vague and unclear, and he is unavailable for any kind of help or, you know, teaching. Don't bother emailing because he won't respond. This guy is the worst.

Hagahigi is one of the most incomprehensible teachers i ever had.. I dont know what the hell he was talking about half the time. His class was so boring i would fall asleep. I made another mistake by taking his Phil 5 critcal thinking class. He would contradict himself. I couldnt stand him. He is not very open, very one sided.

Haghighi is a great teacher! Very understanding and compassionate towards students. Sometimes the material can get to hair-splitting discussions that only the sharp can participate. Tests are not easy if you don't study, but you CAN use a cheat sheet. This class is only for mature thinkers! Much respect!!

i did not like his teaching methods, and his class was extremely hard. if you do bad on one thing it will mess your grade up completely. his test are extremely hard and most questions are not on the study guide or in the book. he is extremely unorganized and grades very hard. if you are a good essay writer you will do ok in the class

Dr. H is extremely knowledgeable about philosophy politics & history. His tests are hard; you gotta read all the assignments. His accent is no prob at all; you'll meet a lot more people in your life with accents who are no where near as smart as him. Too bad some religious students don't understand his great knowledge on religions & get offended.

In this class, there are plenty of things that requires strong imagination skills. Dr. Haghighi explains things in this class very well and making it easier to understand. Only thing is that he has an accent that somehow makes it hard to understand, so if you are an auditory learner, you would have trouble.

Dr. Haghighi is fair in this class. Just that he does not curve. This is a very hard class that requires strong imagination skills. He tries to explain things the best he could, but he has an accent that is hard to understand. So, if you are an auditory learner, I strongly recommend that you don't take him.

Dr. Haghighi is absolutely wonderful and horrendously brilliant. Students should feel themselves lucky to have stood in his presence. His brilliance shows itself even in the most mundane topics. Any student who is willing to have an open mind and a craving for true intelligence should take him.

Dr. Haghighi is an amazing professor and it's truly a shame that more of his students have closed themselves up to find this out. He's tremendously brilliant, awe inspiring, and most importantly he truly loves his subject...amazingly dedicated and overall the most effective professor in the philosophy department.

Don't go to class, just memorize anything and everything on his study guides and fit it on your notecard. He tends to talk about nothing in his lectures. Interesting enough class though, I learned a lot and got an A.

He likes student input, but my class was quiet. His handouts teach more than he does. Notecards are helpful during the test, I made a ton of them, screw (ONLY ONE NOTECARD), he doesn't check. There are a decent amount of homework and test. Accent can be hard to listen to.
