Professor Lienhart was probably the best math teacher I had ever had. She is extremely caring and helpful to her students who need a little extra help. A fair amount of homework and it wasn't graded but homework questions were on the test so it helped a lot. She is very passionate and makes you feel comfortable in the class and subject!

Professor Lienhart is the best math teacher!! Her lectures are very clear and easy to follow. If you attend class and do the optional homework assignments you will pass her class. She hands out study guides works through them with you. The tests are very similar to the study guides! She also drops your lowest test grade at the end of the semester!

I was terrified of math until I took this class. She gives so much help and explains the material in plain English. Caring, kind, and sensitive to the limitations of lower level math students. Really funny and nice lady.

Comment:

Prof. Lienhart is a rock star! I went into class dreading stats, but she soon allayed all my fears. She makes stats understandable, non-intimidating, and even fun! She goes above and beyond answering questions in class. Her quizzes help you learn and retain material. Study guide is the best ever, prepares you completely for exams. Made me <3 stats.

There is homework from the text book about every night. The next class there is typically a quiz which is just two or three questions straight from the homework. There is a group project but it's not the most difficult thing ever. She cares about her student learning and makes it easy (ish) to learn it.

Prof. Lienhart is the best math teacher I've had since middle school. She is so clear when it comes to presenting concepts and strategies. I was definitely intimidated by statistics, but Shannon really goes above and beyond to make sure her students succeed. Tests are almost exactly like the study guides. Study hard, and you will succeed.

Awesome teacher genuinely cares about the students very willing to help when needed also gives space to those who don't require as much help very lenient on rules not much of a stickler but also enforces rules so nothing ever gets out of hand, not homework heavy if assigned very manageable overall great teacher who will help when needed.

Regarding the last comment, she's more than happy to help out whoever needs it, and I never felt like I was treated in any way unfairly (white male here). She's also always available during office hours if you need extra help. Her exams are almost exactly like her study guides. She's a great professor, and I definitely recommend her class.

She is AWESOME!! I would definitely take her again, she was very helpful all semester and always made sure to help individuals who were not understanding. Make sure to attend every class, we did not need a book and DO the homework!

Doesn't use a book for this class at all. Really cares about her students and wants us to pass. is easily upset when people aren't paying attention or are talking over her. Quiz almost every week and four exams. Great study guides. Daily HW but she stopped collecting about halfway through the semester. i'm taking her her again next semester.

I took this class after failing a previous statistics class (with a terrible professor). After this class I genuinely enjoy math. Ms. Lienhart makes it so easy to understand. You can ask her questions anytime and she actually cares about how you're doing in the class. Hilarious. She also provides study guides that are almost exactly like the exam.

She is a very fun teacher! If you want to do well make sure you take time to talk to her and let her get to know you. She responds really well to students who attempt to make a connection with her. The tests are very hard and there is homework and quizzes every single class. The quizzes are just problems from the homework though so DO THE HOMEWORK.

Professor Lienhart is one of the best professors i've had in Palomar! She gives out quizzes almost everyday but they are literally questions from last night's homework. Make sure you do them (i got an A on every quiz). Her lectures are extremely clear. She will make sure every student understands before moving on. TAKE HER!!!

Loved the class. She's so helpful and does her best to make sure her students pass. Her lectures are always interesting and at one point bought us donuts in class when the cubs won the world series! Lots of inside jokes, but it's what motivated all of us to do well in the class.

Best math teacher ever! I really love her humor and her personal stories. People think it gets too carried away that it wastes lecture time, but it doesn't. She's very helpful and always available to assist.

Mrs. Lienhart was the best math teacher I've ever had. I took Algebra 1 before and had to jump out of the class and was devastated. Mrs. Lienhart will stay before and after class to help you with hw. questions. She doesn't belittle you if you have a question and is fun and cheerful. She makes math understandable, even for a no-nothing like me.

Professor Lienhart was by far the best Math teacher I have ever had. The material she covers is tough, but her amazing lectures make it seem easy. DO THE HOMEWORK. It will prepare you for the tests. Her tests are tough but fair. I would definitely take her class again.

An amazing lady and professor! Lienhart definitely knows her math and how to teach. Lectures are crystal clear and very well organized. She writes all important concepts on the board and it is easy to follow her as she solves sample problems. Tests are fair as she grades your work and only knocks off partial points for incorrect results.
