Dr A is very nice, knowledgable and passionate. Just loved her lectures. Class went by really fast, as we did not meet weekly, but more like monthly. Would highly recommend her. There are 3 papers (about 12 pages) for this class and weekly reading.

The worst polisci professor I've ever had at CSUF. The entire class was doing so poorly and averaging 40% to 60% on every quiz, yet she didn't take our feedback into consideration once. She doesn't give study guides, everything is a free for all on her quizzes, and she's condescending. Save yourself the headache and take it with someone else.

Oh Shelly, Easily thee worst class I have ever taken at CSUF, 5 irrelevant quizzes on huge readings, not a very approachable person. Quiz grades are horrible and even hit the point where the class averaged a 40% on quiz 2 which is absolutely disgusting. Stay away from this class.

She dishes out lengthy quizzes every 3 weeks but provides no study guide despite most of our class continually failing. You would think that would be a sign that maybe she needs to change something but instead blames us and takes no input. She doesn't even mention in class what will be on the quiz either & the ppts are of no help either.

This class started off well but went downhill very fast. Her powerpoints are pointless. She gave quizzes every 2-3 weeks that required 100-200 pages of reading. She did not discuss the case studies at all but required students to write essays on them. She did not take students' input into consideration even after the entire class failed a quiz.

I really enjoy the personality she brings to the class, but I found myself struggling to keep up with excessive quizzes (every 3rd week) with anywhere between 80-200 pages of reading to be accounted for during these "quizzes," which were more like exams. She doesn't take student input into consideration, resulting in excessive subpar test scores.

I really wanted to love this class but her excessive quizzing with absolutely no structure and no study guide killed it for me. Half the time you don't even know what to study for because she gives you no idea of what to expect & her quizzes are so specific. With the length that they are, she should just call them tests.

She's great as a person and funny but we had 5 quizzes that were more like exams and provided no study guides so there was no clear sense as to what she wanted. I honestly would have just preferred 3 big exams with a study guide than this. The nice thing is you only have to do 2 4 page essays and you get to pick which prompts you want.

Attendance isn't mandatory for this class, but her tests are based heavily on her lectures. The textbook isn't helpful for studying at all. However, her lectures are sometimes random and go off topic. Her tests are each worth 20% of your grade and they're half multiple choice and half free response. I definitely wouldn't recommend her class.

Probably the most fair professor I have ever had. Put in the work and you will get a good grade. You have to come to class for the notes as well, she does not post them. Class was three exams, about four homework assignments, research paper & 5 slide presentation. Class was a ton of fun, I really recommend it. She is great

She is part professor, part stand up comedian. She made what is otherwise a boring subject funny. She uses powerpoint lectures and will highlight what will most likely be on the quiz. Some quizzes were tricky, others laughably easy. She is fair grader on the essays. The final was cumulative and borrowed from past quiz questions. Fun class overall.

I enjoyed this class so much. The material itself was pretty boring, but she brings it to life. You can tell she really cares about her job and her students. 5 short quizzes, 2 short papers, and one final thats based off all of the quizzes we took over the semester. I would recommend her as a professor, but always go to class.

She is an awesome professor with a great sense of humor. I really enjoyed taking her internship class. It was pretty easy, just do your hours, complete a few essays (which are based on the readings) and show up to class. I highly recommend Professor Arsneault!

Took the Intern class. Pretty easy, just need to do 120 hours for the semester, she gives you a list of interns you can contact as well. Have to submit a few essays and show up to class about five times. Only thing is that she doesnt like to give A's... even though i did all the work and hours.. so definitely ask her what you need for an A..

Capstone course for the MPA program. Expect to write between 10-22 pages per week and read countless articles. Class discussion reinforces major points of readings to help prepare for comps. Professor is enthusiastic about the subject matter, helpful, & has excellent communication. This class is an endurance test but still possible (even w/ work!)

She's alright. Definitely has favorites and is kind of annoying. She at times makes inappropriate jokes which surprises me because she is such an educated woman. Get on her good side and you'll do great if not expect to be under heavy scrutiny. She is really cool about attendence which was nice cause I definitely needed a break from her!
