I took her online and there were 10 assignments tops. She gave you 30 minutes to answer 30 questions when each question had a paragraph to it. The only real work you do throughout the semester is weekly discussions but participation is added up into 1 20 point assignment. You have nothing to back up course material besides heavy-weighted tests.

One discussion board per chapter, due every Sunday. 2 Portfolios, and 2 exams. Gives study questions for exams. Lots of reading. Terrible with communication. Takes forever to email back.

In my first two years of college, I got As in all of my classes, except for one B. This class wrecked my GPA. The midterm and final basically determine your whole grade, and they are both very difficult. Any direct communication I had with Mrs Peterson took a long time, and it was all very vague. I would not recommend this class to anyone.

She is a good teacher, but though! If you take her class you better be ready to read and understand the topics very well. Proctored tests for midterm and final. two quiz's (times, 1 min r each question), two reports for entire class. The day of my final I could have got an A or F depending on how I took the test. mid&final 100 questions 1 min each.

30 minutes for 30 questions is impossible..and it only lets you do one question at a time. The tests were ridiculous. Other than that the work was ok, a lot of reading. I failed the class by 7 points which is a total dissapointment. Will take the course over again this summer.

Prof. Peterson expects her students to spend the entire course doing odd and end busy assignments that have absolutely nothing to do with what will be on the mid term or final. She does not communicate with the class on a one on one basis, granted I took it online, she is of no help, a friend recommended this class to me, but I DONT recommend 2 ne1

Professor was rude and unorganized.Spent over 2 weeks to study for each quiz and the midterm and final to fail miserably at all. When I addressed the professor about 30 min time limit for 30 question quiz I was told "most of her past students could do it and to stop complaining". I do not recommend.

RUDE is all I have to say about this Professor. The midterm and final are each 100 questions proctored. This is MARRIAGE and FAMILY. I have no problem with a strict teacher but she is just plain RUDE. You learn nothing that you will retain because you are too busy cramming for the stupid midterm and final.

I took marriage and family anticipating what it may have to offer. Needless to say, I was very disappointed. This teacher was quick to critique on things having less to do with the class and more to do with English. Also, the book was very dull and repetitive. I have always gotten good grades and this was my first grade under an A in years!

LOVED THIS COURSE AND THIS TEACHER. VERY WELL PUT TOGETHER. ACTIVITES WERE FUN AND TAUGHT US A LOT. HELPFUL CLASS.
