He is an amazing lecturer, very passionate when he teaches, always willing to help students. However, he is a tough grader and his classes are difficult. Overall a challenging course but a very fun and exciting class as the teacher never makes it boring.

His teaching style is not clear and unorganized. His marking is very harsh and has no sympathy toward students. Boring lecture that can put you to sleep. Overall, not recommend.

He told students to study the textbook from chapter 1 to 14 (the whole textbook) before the final, which turned out that the final just covered the last 4 chapters. I understand he wants students to achieve knowledge but it would be nice if he specify which chap is gonna come out since we have other five courses to study. Also, he has no symphaty.

He is nice, easy (although this course is not that easy=)), helpful, patient, clear and very organized. He does his best to answer students' questions(even sometimes those questions are sooo stupid). I took this course just because he was the instructor.

Stephane is the clearest insructor in CC. I will forever respect his perfect organized lectures. He was there to help me any time I needed. If you are passionate about his classes he will make you understand every single ditail. He is very calm and greetful, never shouts and rememebrs your name even after you are done. Stephane, many thanks to you!

I took ECON 101 with him at UBC in the summer. The lecture wasn't clear at all, partially because of his low volume + French accent. Mostly, I couldn't understand his lecture without previewing the textbook first. Lecture is mostly repeating the book, no out-of-book-exciting stuff. But, he shows lots of concern for student learning.

Arguably best prof at CC. Care a lot about his students' performance. Once upset because the class did terrible on the midterm. That made everyone studied hard so the majority of the class aced the final--and it wasn't easy. If you are like many students at CC--never comes to class and expect to study on past papers, this guys is not for you.

Le frenchmen IS GOOD. Knows a lot about economic, unlike others. Ask him something, he'll give you clear examples so that you can understand. Patient. Occasionally challenge the classes with questions which is good. Read the text BEFORE you come to class. You WILL do fine. Tests are NOT hard. He hates people who come late, also people make noises.

Econ 103 with stephane is your best option, really clear instructor and very helpful. MATH lovers avoid this course with him.. is all about logic and understanding economics, if you hate math this is your man..
