Comment:
Dr. Terrell is so kind-hearted. He is super knowledgable and has experienced a lot of life so he gives great advice. The course was not work-heavy at all. Every lecture we basically just shared stories on various topics that relate to the course work. I know I have a mentor for life after taking this course.

Very down to earth and was the easiest univ professor there is. There was very little work involved with this professor, but in class discussions were good.

Terrible professor in an already difficult class. He changed the curriculum requirements in the middle of the class and did not explain what he wanted. I ended up dropping his class and dropping out of Nova because of him. Avoid!

Nice guy, not much hw, but super disorganized. Gets distracted easily. He was really funny, and he did not keep up with his own syllabus. Really slow at grading. Did not give much hw, was able to turn in late and still gives some credit.

I have just completed the RESD-710 Qualitative Research Methods with Dr. Terrell. This was an excellent class and Dr. Terrell has been an amazing instructor. I have learned a lot and found this class very valuable to the program and the dissertation. Dr. Terrell cares about his students and very quick to respond to any questions. Strongly recommend

Very good professor and dissertation advisor. I was scared of him because I heard he was hot headed, but after taking his class, I realized that was not true.

I had him for research class last term. There was a lot of work. He followed the syllabus very closely and was pretty quick with feedback. His text was good with a few minor errors. I learned a lot and it was very helpful.

Dr. Terrell was always available for response to questions via constant e-mails, forums, and weekly chats. Gay book was good resource and will be helpful when dissertation time comes around. Terrell book was a Statistics help guide that we assisted in editing... errors were bound to be there. Final Exam was a B!+CH but the class was terrific.

I had the research class with Dr. Terrell and knew him before he became a professor. The person who said he couldn't make it in the real world must not have known about his professional background. He was a systems manager in a large investment firm; I think he took a big pay cut to go to Nova. I enjoyed his class and graduated.

Big ego... tons of mistakes in his course materials... typical self-important PhD who probably couldn't make it in the real world.

Very unforgiving, very picky, provides inaccurate information. Unfortunately, there is no way to avoid him in this program.
