Professor Rooney is friendly and approachable; she wants to help you if you want to learn. The expectation is that you are in college, not a high school, so come prepared. I learned so many valuable skills in RAD with her and it helped me pass one of my advanced classes with a boatload of high-level reading and critical thinking.

8-week course-she got me interested in English class again. I wouldn't take this course if you are expecting an easy A- a lot of material covered in a short amount of time. She is a kind and caring person who is truly dedicated in helping you learn. She tells you exactly what you are going to be tested on-no surprise. AMAZING professor! Relatable.

Excellent Professor. Provides great lectures. Go to her office hours, she is very very helpful. Assignments are clear and helpful. Because of her class, I saw improvement in all my other classes.

Shes one of the best professors to take for ENGRD 116&310. She wants her students to succeed in class so she gives homework's that keeps you up with the class. Be prepared to work hard in class to get good grades and have a mindset to work hard in this class. She also helpful during office hours and never rude when you ask her anything.

I personally think that Sue Rooney is a great Professor who cares about her students' success. I have taken her fast-track ENGRd 116 and 310 class. If you want to take this class with her, be prepare to do real homework ( I mean if you want to get an A you should better do all the assignments as best as you can). Best of Luck!!

I went into this class thinking it would be an easy A, which was a mistake. Mrs. Rooney makes you think very critically, so I would not take this class if you are not serious about earning your grade. Overall, she is a very good teacher, and is genuinely interested in helping her students succeed.

Great Professor. Prepared. Fun Lectures because of her funny comments. If you do your homework and show up you will do fine in the class. Easy to talk to. Professional. I would recommend taking her if you want to learn something. I would take her again in another class.

Rooney is a great professor. Really learned a lot. The best part was the speed reading project that I found out was mandatory on he first day of class. Seemed like a huge load of work but leveled off. I use what I learned in ALL my other classes.

I loved Mrs. Rooney's speed reading class, it was sooo helpful. I used to get B's and C's in my classes, but now I get all A's! The speed reading program is very beneficial and I would totally recommend this class for anyone serious about being or becoming a good college student.

This class was extremely helpful! I will be transferring to a 4 year college next semester and I feel very confident about using the skills taught in this class. I know that if I hadn't taken this course, and the co-req ENGRD 314, I would not be prepared to transfer. It's aslo plainly stated in the course description that this class has a co-req

She gives a lot of busy work. Not very much critical thinking involved. Mandatory extra class to pass. Had less then 1/3 of the class left. She is not consistent with post and deadlines. Information is never in the same place. If you do not need the class, I would suggest taking something that would be a better use of your time.

Rooney was a great teacher! I would take her again. Instructions on some assignments can be unclear at times. But for the most part she's funny and has a great sense of humor. Assignments were fun. I learned a lot.

She is very tough on grading. Gives very hard tests. Doesn't believe in extra credit. Takes points off if you miss a class or even if you are tardy. You have to work REALLY hard to get a good grade in her class. You get a lot of homework and you better have it ALL PERFECT otherwise you loose points.
