Comment:

This was the worst experience I've had with a professor yet. She makes her online lectures mandatory, defeating the purpose of an online class. She is almost completely unreachable and so disorganized. She expects you to devote your life to the class. She is extremely biased and to be honest, unintelligent. Would not recommend.

Comment:

Do not take this prof. online class. Online quiz's and assignments are misspelled, have wrong dates assigned, and all her links and objectives each week are very unorganized. She also takes a long time to get back to concerns and cancels class without warning (not just once). She also discusses home issues and it's uncomfortable. Do not recommend!!

INSANE AMOUNT OF READING AND BUSY WORK! I'm cool with putting in the time and reading a lot for a class, but the readings that she gave were useless and served no purpose in understanding class material. She's very disorganized and has excessive grammar and spelling errors on notes and quizzes. Respect yourself and don't take this class.

Ridiculously unorganized and seems like she has zero idea of what she's doing... Expects you to read and read and read until you don't have time for anything else. Seems like she also has no idea that students have other classes and jobs, probably thinks the world revolves around her unorganized class. Would not recommend.

Comment:

Took this class online in the summer. Not too hard but it was not the easiest online class I've taken before. Weekly readings and quizzes. Sometimes discussions and papers. Quizzes can be confusing and hard to understand but overall not that bad of a class to take in the summer.

She has a form of short term memory loss which she announces to the class. I thought nothing of this until she forgot to put in my final grade for the class my first semester of college, keeping me on academic probation for about a year before she found time to correct it. Horrible experience with a horrible teacher. AVOID.

This professors teaching methods need to be addressed. Her endless grammaticalstructural errors make it seem like she has no respect for her own profession. She expects that the students in an ONLINE class have time to pick up countless booksmovies from school which defeats the purpose of an online class.. as if we have no other classes or a job.

Really unorganized and slow with grading. Basically gives you a bunch of reading each week, has a power point, and two quizzes at the end of the week. Do not need to buy any of the books because you can find all the information in the slideshow. Easy A

She was the best professor! I love her! The class is very interesting! She gives out a lot of extra credit and they are fun extra credits (we watched documentaries) and every wed we would watch a film! Very interesting class, she is passionate about what she is teaching! No textbook required and you can get all the info from the ppt.'s

Professor Rumph is one of the greatest-I took her class online(which I would recommend)-there was a decent amount of work-but a lot of extra credit opportunities. She has inspired me so much-even have decided to get my masters degree in women/gender studies. its so interesting and you learn so much-you should take this class with professor Rumph.

Took this class online. Pretty easy, not too time consuming. TONS of extra credit opportunities! She can come across as unhelpful at times, but she just expects some critical thinking out of her students, as college students should be able to do. I recommend her, especially online!

Do not take this professor. She gives way too much busy work and doesnt allow you to pay attention to your more important classes. She does not know what shes doing and doesnt teach anything. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
