Comment:

I took this class online this summer and loved it. Such an easy A! The midterm is proctored, but study past quizzes and ESPECIALLY the questions from the textbook. They WILL be on the midterm exam. The final was all multiple choice which can be found online and had 5 essay questions. The discussion boards are so easy to bs and get good grades!

Comment:

Very easy grader- doesnt nitpick things. The midterm is proctored and its questions are slightly different than the quizzes, so make sure to read the textbook. The final is at home but is all essay questions. Overall, pretty easy and Id definitely take her again!

Easy class! Everything is opened up from the first day of class so you can work on everything early or before the deadline. Weekly discussions and quizzes, 2 writing assignments, a midterm, & final. Discussion posts and quizzes are super easy. One page full of notes required for the midterm that you will take at any campus. Final exam @ home.

Very easy and fun class. We had discussions and a quiz every week for the online class. She is very organized making this one of the best online classes I have taken. She unlocks all of the assignments on first day, you can work at your own pace.

quizzes come straight from book, tests come straight from quizzes. Two papers, and lots of discussions. Not super picky about discussion content. Does not grade harshly on papers. Do your work and you will make a good grade in this glass. Great teacher, you wont regret taking her class.

I can't say enough about Dr. C, she's truly the BEST! Grades ALWAYS posted on time, extremely easy to contact and talk to about the work. Its a lot of work, but so worth it. Alot of discussion post, and you're required to respond to two of them. Trust me you'll enjoy the class and her. I cant wait to be in more classes she teaches.

Took her online class and she was great! Never had to worry when or if my grades were going to post, she is very timely. I loved the special project and had fun taking part in the online discussion. She is really on top of her online game a a lot of other teachers could learn a few things from her.

Dr. Claxton is by far my favorite instructor! She will work with you if you don't understand something. She is our self appointed "Cheerleader". Attendance is important in all of her classes. Squeeze every drop of information from her & soak it up! She does talk a lot and expects participation but all the info is very pertinent. Good for any major!

Just finished up Social Issues online with Prof. Claxton and I would ABSOLUTELY take her again. There are many quizzes, which come straight from the book. Gave us what was going to be on the midterm and allowed us to use one page of notes. Excellent class project that got us all thinking. Many discussions, but they're easy. Loved this class!

I took Ms. Claxton for the very first time ONLINE and seriously loved it! Her grading format is very detailed and easy to follow. Many discussion but just make sure to follow along with those and you will easily get an A in class. She is also very helpful! I will be taking many more of her classes from now on since I am a Human services Major.

Loved online Sociology. It was an easy class but it was interesting! You do a lot of discussions and there's two exams (1proctored but open notes). Really enjoyed the work we did. If you do the discussion you get an A. The exams though are a LOT of typing! Take her! And truly understand what you learn. You wont regret it

Ms. Claxton was awesome, even thoough i took it online. super easy and i still learned a lot. midterm is open note but proctored, all the tests were actually quizzes and the final exam is just the same. I actually don't know how i got a B in the class, i think i deserve an A but it will suffice.

I took her for an online class. She has her guidelines laid out for you from day one. You could work ahead and nothing was too hard to comprehend I read some of the book but found that it wasn't necessary to read each chapter in full.Honestly with this class there was no teaching involved. Just answer the questions by giving your opinion.

Mrs. Claxton is an amazing teacher! i took her online sociology and even though i didnt meet her you can tell she is a great teacher and cares about her students. she is willing to help with material or even talk about majors and etc. great teacher! i would love to take her in class!
