Very knowledgable and friendly yet I feel I didn't learn anything in his class. I almost wished we had more tests and quizzes so I would have studied the material. Learned a lot in the required backstage hours though. Just watched videos a lot in class and "talked about it" The final was cutting a song and only 1 performance paper on lighting

While he is a rather difficult grader, Alan is very dedicated and always pushes his students to excel. He requires that students be motivated and will suport any desision a student makes as long as you can find something to suport your views in the work. Great teacher, pay attention and you'll really learn alot

A very dedicated techincal theatre instructor and practitioner. Very demanding and, to some degree, a perfectionist. Not the easiest professor to get to know, but he knows how to get the job done.
