If you can take a different professor... do it. She gives out ridiculously long projects, so much pointless busy work, lots of papers, lots of reading. Although at times she seems nice, she can be extremely rude. Attendance is mandatory and she keeps you to the very minute that class ends. Easy A though if you complete all of the work.

It took me a while to decide how I felt about this class and the professor but I ended up really liking it. She is very passionate about this subject. There is alot of required reading for this class but if you stay on top of it and turn in all assignments on time it is an easy A!

It took me awhile to warm up to her - but stick with her lectures and she'll love you. Also, it's important to state your opinion every now and again. She really appreciates class discussion! Overall, helpful and willing to listen!

Lots of reading and work, but as long as you do the work you will get an A, she grades on you trying not on being an expert. She cares about her students, and really wants everyone to get the most out of children's books as possible so that you know how to use the material in your classroom. She's so passionate about english. LOVE HER!!

A great teacher. The class itself is a seminar format. Discussions are lengthy and insightful and the readings she assigns are helpful to learning knowledge about the subject! She definitely provides tools for teaching. I loved her and would recommend her to anyone.

A neat class. Have to read books and write short responses on them-easy. No tests or quizzes, attendance does count. She is a good lady and tries to make the class interesting. Some days it seems annoying by the stupid stuff you do but it is not a hard class at all.

LOVE HER! She is an awesome professor. Always willing to help. Assignments are meaningful and are graded on effort. She gives so many useful strategies for future teachers! Can't wait to have her for another class! Sweetest woman you'll ever meet!

What a nice, interesting professor. Lots of reading, lots of short writing assignments. She cares about her students, and she works hard to give you small tastes of different methods you can use later on. Very approachable.
