Susan is super sweet and always willing to help but she does not tolerate BS. Come to class, pay attention and you'll do well. Susan's lectures give you all you need for the final. She is very passionate about Ochem so she is easy to learn from.

Susan is such a great professor! Her teaching style is traditional which is something that I really like. The course is heavy but Susan tries to teach it without over complicating things. She is available outside of lectures for extra help. Lectures can sometimes be long, but Susan keeps it light with her humour! Can't wait to have her for ochem 2!

I don't know if it's because our class was later in the day or something, but Susan was almost always in a bad mood. We had a lot of content left to cover at the end of the course so everything was rushed, and it was not an enjoyable time. However, her quizzes made up the majority of the midterm/ final so that was nice.

Susan is A++! O-Chem is by no means an easy class, but she really breaks every single concept down, and helps you understand everything in simple terms. She REALLY wants everyone to succeed! She straight up tells you what is very important to know and what is less important, which I feel is super helpful is classes with so much content. RECOMMEND!!

Prior to taking this course, I had heard horror stories of this course, but now that I'm in it, its not so bad, and that is because of Susan. She's incredibly knowledgeable and seems to actually care about the student's success. She has plenty of office hours and will usually take time to talk and go over material. The text book is essential.

Susan is amazing! Her notes and lectures are really good, and she really makes herself available for questions and extra help outside of class. The class is manageable if you start doing the suggested textbook questions right away and stay on top of the material. She is a very fair marker, she made organic chemistry less horrible,

Susan outlines her objectives very clearly, and she is always available for help. But she seems to get mad if you ask the wrong question, and she's a hard marker and really not an approachable prof. Did not inspire me to continue with a chem minor at all.

Awesome prof! Is very friendly - she is very approachable and completely understanding of your needs. Explains the concepts in OChem 10 different ways until everyone gets it, which is awesome. Very fair marker, went over the final not expecting anything and she bumped up my mark! Office hours are great, and overall just a fantastic professor.

Susan is awesome! She uses examples that you would relate to and understand easily to explain the hard concepts. Very fair marker who is always looking to give you extra points. She does take a while to mark things and hand them back though. Overall, highly recommend taking ochem with her if you can.

An amazing teacher. She was extremely thorough with her notes, and would always spend extra time on tricky concepts. Susan has high expectations and writes challenging exams but is always available to help any student who needs it. By far my favourite teacher, I wish she taught more classes.

If put your effort, abuse her office hours and can't keep up with Morante' class, you should think twice about going to med/dental fields. She teaches crystal clear, powerpoint feedbacks, decent textbook, easy availability... all ingredients for success is here. Her tests are fair (easier than it should be sometimes). Take her class while you can.

Very few profs put a lot of effort as she does, especially in science field. Her tests are fair, but requires days after days doing practice questions. If you manage your time, it's not so hard to get A. She goes slower pace and explains better than Brett. Her office hours are amazing, reasonable, and can actually make ochem fun from time to time.

Susan is a very knowledgable instructor who strives to teach chemistry well. You can clearly see the passion in her eyes as she goes through her lecture notes. I nearly failed the course due to some circumstances but thanks to her wonderful notes (which I took advantage of) I was able to pass. This instructor is highly recommended ! Much respect !
