This class was difficult for me. His way of teaching isn't the best and can be tough at times.

If you pay attention in class and do the practice questions, you will pass no problem. He is great at teaching the material. There are 5 mini tests and 1 big test, no final. You grade is only based off of your 3 best mini tests and the 1 big test. He gives extra credit if you show up to class and participate. The textbook is free. Easy class.

He looks mean and boring but he is a great professor and very caring. He breaks down things to make it easier to understand. DO NOT SKIP CLASS! Very fair professor. I really recommend him.

The lectures were boring and he followed someone else's slides, gave the class a pdf version of the textbook. Told us if we didnt read the textbook, we wouldn't get an A. I got an A just from paying attention to lectures and understanding everything going on.

Best professor I have had so far. This is college, so of course there will be reading and hard work to put in. I recommend him to everyone who takes college seriously and actually wants to learn. Do not be discouraged by the low ratings. If you work hard and put in the time, you will get a lot out of his courses. I highly recommend him

If you have the option to take this class with another professor DO IT. I did well in the class, got an A or B but he makes the material way harder than it needs to be. I went to the class tutor and he is the reason I passed. I talked to some people with other prof and they said the class was easy. If you don't do the exercises you'll fail.

Probably one of the most difficult classes to take, In my opinion, READ THE TEXT. Practice the problems in the back. The trick for me was being able to simulate the testing conditions 20 minutes for 10-15 problems. I was able to manage 3 very high scores and flat out fail 2 of the mini test. The big test is more big picture stuff. Goodluck

Brilliant professor. He may seem harsh when he drills you on material, but he is trying to get us to think. I would not recommend him to anyone that wants an easy A because you'd have to work a lot to get an A. I would recommend him to anyone that wants to be intellectually challenged, and I guarantee that you'd learn a lot from him.

Not sure if he knows it, but he's one of the most condescending individual I've ever met. He'll call on you to answer a question in class and if you get it wrong he won't guide you towards the answer, instead he'll ridicule you. Strict with test grading. No homework, but you'll have to practice outside of class to do well. Avoid if possible.

Take this guy if you want to suffer. His tests are not like how he teaches in class and even then, when teaching a new subject he expects us to know and be able to do it. Not once did he give us an example and do it himself. He made a girl cry early during the semester by drilling her on new material. Obviously she never returned. Rude to students

Just flat out a horrible professor. Makes the subject harder then it is. Calls on students for participation and makes you look stupid for not answering correctly. Quiz reviews are pointless and on top of that is a hard grader. Many students approached him for help outside of class and he turns them away.

okay so the subject it pretty difficult to grasp in my opinion. he doesn't make it any easier. So if you have to take this class TAKE IT WITH SOMEONE ELSE. Hes just a really rude and unnecessary guy. Pretty sure he enjoys making his students feel stupid. Anyway, there are 5 mini tests, 2 get dropped, and you have an accumulative test a the end.

Professor is ok, can pick on you if you don't answer the way he wants you to, 5 mini tests (2 lowest grades are dropped), one big test (final), easy class just keep up with examples, if not attending class read throughly because it gets confusing, I recommend going to class often, participation isn't mandatory, just say 'I want to skip'

I can see why people think he's difficult. However it's not him but the subject matter that can be confusing. As long as you do your part, it will be relatively easy to grasp the ideas. He's an amazing professor- one of my all time favorites. My major has nothing to do with the subject matter, but this ended up being my favorite class of the year.

His class consists of 5 mini-test and one big test. Two mini test are dropped thus that consists your final grade. There is no final nor no midterm. His way of instruction was extremely confusing. This class isn't an easy subject. Class isn't mandatory , but you will get lost if you don't attend.

the material for this class is kinda hard, so i strongly recommend you go to every class or you will get lost. He is a very good teacher tho, and teachers very good. However, he does critically challenge his students. He calls on people in every class. Therefore if you hate going to the board, or being called on this is not the class for you.

Horrible experience. I am an A student and I ended up with a D in this class. I showed up to every lecture and even went to office hours, but it did not help. The tests are really hard and he is extremely confusing. If you can avoid.

I found the class quite fun actually. As a computer science major most of the underlying concepts weren't new but I still felt as though I learned a lot. Easily went through it without studying or reading the textbook. I rarely speak up and ask questions in class but this class I was the complete opposite. I would definitely recommend him.
