Comment:
I've had Prof Rudavsky for both Phil in Lit and Existentialism and would absolutely recommend both. She's incredibly nice and the stuff she teaches is unlike anything else you'll get in the philosophy department. Reading list for this class was a bit much, but it's the second time it's ever been offered so it's still a work in progress.

Every class I've taken with Tamar has been amazing. Her board organizational skills really set the par for the rest of humanity. She can relate ideas to her students really well if they bother coming to class and paying attention.

Tamar is one of my favorite professors at OSU; she's funny, passionate, and makes you work for it through reading and writing a ton. This is a good thing, for if this is your passion and major then it will be incredibly worth it. Being one of the only professors at OSU who teaches continental philosophy, she is a must take for any philosophy major.

Rudavsky makes up for her somewhat lack of clarity and organization by her passion and interest in the material. Plus, she makes you read, think, and work for your grade, which is how you learn to think and read critically and for yourself. Pretty tough, and sometimes things don't always come together quickly, but well worth it in the end.

Awesome Professor. Genuinely cares about the education of her students, gives more than ample extra credit to boost your grade, and is so passionate about the material she is teaching. She is very knowledgeable. She can and will stop and explain things if they are not clear. In a very hard class to comprehend, she makes it easier to understand.

Professor Rudavsky is a great professor. She's unbelievably knowledgeable and seems to want her students to succeed. Her lectures can be confusing at times, so the course may take extra work in order to understand the material fully. Otherwise, she is a very interesting person and I recommend taking her courses.

Rudavsky does a great job showing how the material in the course can be applied to your everyday life. And relating the social allusions at the time of the writers to current social status quos. Her reading outlines are helpful but rather unorganized. Her blackboard notes are unorganized.

I had her for advanced existentialism, and Tamar seems to be in her element teaching this subject. It was a great class, but it's only downfall was the daunting amount of material we tried to cover. You are a great prof though!

Rudavsky rocks! the class is hard because the material is complex. She's very willing to help all of her students and makes time to meet outside of class. Do your readings and engage the class and it will be fun.

I love, love, loved having her for this class! Brilliant and absolutely hilarious. yes...she tells a lot of personal narratives. I thought they were relevant, some did not. But either way, she's open to criticism. She's expressed she reads the comments on this website...HEY Dr. Rudavsky!!! Hope you're doing awesome!

I took her for 301 and then again for 306 because she was so great the first time. I learned a lot from her and loved it. Wonderful professor. She might be intimidating by jumping around, but if you do the readings you don't need to know extra stuff about philosophy to get an A.

Mrs. Rudavsky is a bit off the cuff sometimes. However, I do find her notes (though disorganized) to be quite helpful. She posts a lot of the notes online. Its an absolute must to read them before class. The class consisted of 1 midterm, 1 Final, a 5-7 page paper and 2 quizzes. Very easy if you come to class and pay attention.

Too disorganized. I survived because I'm a philosophy major. Most people were lost when studying for midterms.

Class was fairly interesting...mine was easy but the TA did all the grading and he was SUPER easy. She is really unorganized and changes what we were doing all the time, but she's fun to listen to.
