Comment:

Hillabush-Walker is alright. I do think that people drag her too much on here but she is not the best. I think that the way she grades is if she was at a four-year school & a 300 or 400 level course. The work load is not bad, 1-2 weekly in class/homework assignments & then 1 short 1-2 page paper & one final 5 page paper. She grew on me as a person.

Don't buy the textbook. Yes, there's technically readings however the answers to the homework quizzes are all online. Tamara is really nice, but when she grades the unit tests(which are all online) she is very tough. Every little thing u write counts. Lectures are kinda weird because she asks the class lots of personal questions that arnt helpful.

Under no circumstances should you EVER take an online class with this teacher. Don't get me wrong, she is a kind and nice woman when you meet her. Though, she is one of the worst teachers online. I know her in person classes are better. To recap, nice person, but never ever take online. Maybe in person, but I wouldn't risk it.

Tamara is a pretty decent professor who makes assignments clear. Attendance is mandatory and she's accessible via email and during office hours. At times, she can kind of go on a tangent. Most days are power point lectures, some days she'll hit you with group work. The work is a bit tedious but easy to complete.

I really liked her as a professor, I took two classes with her this semester. There was a lot of work but honestly what can you expect from the courses. She is a tough grader, but I think she likes things done a specific way. I would take a class with her again.

She is a tough grader. She also takes to long to grade her student's essay. Just don't take her at all. Her lecture is so boring. She sometimes isn't specific enough when you ask her a question.

Comment:

She graded an entire semester of work in a couple hours, and apoligized if she made any mistakes. She made a ton on my assignments and was unresponsive until WEEKS after the semester ended- then she contacted me. Im now left with a poor grade I did not deserve. This was and will remain my worst college experience. Avoid at all costs.

She lectured AT us the full 50 minutes and locks the doors so it is impossible to be late. I was once literally 2 minutes late and I couldn't attend. Very boring and not interactive. Would not take a class with her again.

Tamara is great. I like her as a person as well as a professor. She lays everything out clearly and tells you from the beginning what she expects from you. Class is all lecture, but it's not boring. She's very knowledgeable about the subject, answers questions, and facilitates class discussions. All in all: good class, solid professor.

This professor is a very nice lady. However in the classroom she lectures you every day for 50 minutes. No participation, no laptop or cell phone use, no talking. She doesn't use personal experiences to connect you, she simply reads off of the slides. There are also weekly quizzes and she never informs you of them so I received the first one as a 0

DO NOT TAKE A CLASS WITH THIS PROFESSOR. She seems very nice at first, but she is the worst professor ive ever had. She is not helpful and her lectures are super boring. She does not prepare her students for any quizzes or tests. She does not care about her students success.

I love Tamara. I've taken two classes with her and always thought she was an absolute delight--she's a wonderful person, and her knowledge of media law is so impressive. She's willing to help, and even if the class isn't an easy A, she really wants to see you be successful if you're willing to try. Also: no textbook!

I thought she was an overall fair grader and didn't give an excessive amount of assignments. The timeline for all major assignments are specifically listed in the syllabus and given far enough in advance. Majority of classes were spent in a beginning to end lecture. Final and Midterm are open book online which is basically an Easy A.

I go to a top university and thought I should get a class done over the summer for cheap. BAD IDEA. This professor made up super ambiguous questions and super specific statistic questions about studies that weren't in the book, and didn't answer emails. I know they weren't in the book because I bought the ebook and used the electronic search.

teaches the same material every semester hope u like to be put to sleep during class and never uses the smart board. although if your a com major you might like her. she made me feel so uninterested in the workclass i failed.

Bloody awful. Nice enough lady but she is strict about work being in exactly on time or she gives you no credit but you won't get it back for months. I emailed her several times and she never got back to me which crippled me in the class. Not a very supportive teacher and tends to play favorites... Very Very poor teacher stay away at all costs.
