Comment:

She is very sweet, but a bit full of herself and it can make class a little tough to take. The only somewhat hard part about class are the blackboard tests directly off the very dense and long textbook chapters. However, not very difficult to get a good grade if do a moderate amount of work. Definitely worth taking.

Professor Shapiro is a very smart woman, but tends to get off topic A LOT. She only teaches the things in the course she enjoys, so you have to do a lot on your own. Classes are fun though, and when she does teach, she is great at explaining things and is very helpful. The final is a project, which she walks you through. Very nice woman.

Awesome teacher, made the class a lot of fun! got off topic a lot, but can't complain about that. the tests were obnoxious but they're online so you can take them whenever you want. gives opportunities for extra credit, which really helps the grade. no final test, instead a final project thats worked on throughout the semester

Totally love Dr. Shapiro. She is so fun and honestly has a way of making students learn without realizing it, something I don't think I've ever seen. I don't think I've ever laughed so much in a class. There is work, but it is very do-able and all her notes are posted on blackboard. I highly recommend this Professor.

To put it nicely, she is not the sharpest tool in the shed. I caught her make a few mistakes (ouch). I found that without her notes in her lap top (she uses blackboard) she is completely lost. I find her disorganized. If you read the textbook you don't need her notes.

She is an amazing professor! Definetly the best one at Hofstra and I'm in my Junior year. She really cares about her students and is so funny. Shes a tough girl but very sensitive! Shes passed up so many opps. that pay a lot just bc she loves teaching! Definetly Take her, bc if u dont ull regret it!

What is there to say about Prof. Shapiro that hasn't been said, have to say she is probably the best teacher I have had...ever as I head into my senior year. Makes the course go by quickly and doesnt mind sharing her personal life. Amazing Professor.
