I had two courses with Tim, and really learned a lot. Beyond just writing papers, those courses changed me. At first I really struggled to get a read on him, but you've just gotta open your mind, do the reading, and speak up in class- you'll be fine. Plus, he looks just like Walter from the Big Lebowski on the regular with those Hawaiian shirts...

I have taken two classes with Doyle, great guy, amazing life experiences, and a huge wealth of knowlege which he draws from regularly. He made philosophy accessable to pretty much anyone and made sure your grade reflected how much you learned.

Dr. Doyle is a philosopher that has a malicious attitude toward bad thinking. Before I took his thought arousing class I had know idea what was really inside my little squash of a head. His brilliance is complimented by his blissful energy and lack of academia intimidation.

He is able to make something wierd like philosophy totally applicable. He's like a toasted marshmallow: all crusty on the outside but all soft on the inside. Take his class no matter what the title.
