When I read the previous comments about Spencer, I was so scared of taking his class. But I have to admit, he has been the best Psy teacher I've ever had! Granted this was his last semester at SFSU, but he is by far the best developmental psychology professor to have ever taught!

Comment:

This was one of my favorite classes at SFSU. Dr.Spencer taught for 46 years here!He is retiring this year, but all of memories of teaching the class will remain with me forever. He has a good sense of humor that lightens almost all of his students regardless if they are in a bad mood. I will always take on his words where ever I go "Life Happens".

Great prof. He can be hard but it felt good challenging myself and studying. I learned a lot. I worked really hard and got a B. he breaks down everyones grade ina handout. In a 130 person class I think only 10 people an A.

Class is dry and boring material, but he makes it somewhat interesting. His exams are extremely difficult even though are multiple choice. He gets a lot of his questions from the book so reading is a must if you want to do well. Class definitely requires work, not a blow off!

Love him! So much fun and entertaining. I learned so much! Excellent prof. I wish all professors were like him! He is hard tho. I worked really hard and got a B. It meesed up my GPA but i love him so much I dont care. ha!

Professor Spencer is such a sweet man. He is extremely hard, but if you attend class, take good notes, and read the book then you will receive a good grade. Most of the class would have failed if he didn't curve. Take him if you want to learn

He is the BEST professor I have had in my college years.He has inspired me to be part of the psychology field when I was doubtful.He really loves what he does and is a really good professor.His classes are funny and educational.If you really want to learn,take his class.If u just want an A, I'd recommend taking someone else. I got a B working hard.

He is so difficult, I felt I was already in grad school. He does standard deviations on every semester exams and fixes the too easy questions and makes them extremely difficult. You will be extremely fortuanate to ace his class.

Not easy, but you learn a lot. I studied my butt off and got a B. He's lectures are precise and interesting, but the tests are tricky. If you read every inch of the chapters and take good notes will you be fine but dont slack off!!
