Comment:
Taking Professor Bantham over the summer was a solid choice contrary to popular belief. There needs to be more professors at ISU from Syracuse University in my opinon. He follows the rules, has impressive work experience, knowledgeable, and grades fairly. I wish I would have been a management major with how disgusting the marketing dept truly is.

Getting an A is a rarity. You are going to have to try very hard if that is your goal. He tells you after the first test that A's are rare. He is a no nonsense professor, which I found absolutely hilarious. Any questions he deemed to be stupid or redundant would be met with purest form of condescension you have every heard. I tried to not laugh.

This class is not meant to be difficult, if he just put out some activities that didn't involve copying the notes and something engaging, I'm sure he wouldn't tell you "By the way, there's a very small chance you will get an A on my exams." He's intelligent, but he expects you to be a operations major to understand his stuff.

Dr. B is one of the best professors i have ever had. He explains the material very well during class and if you have any questions he is more than willing to meet with you to help you outside of class. The tests can be difficult but he tells you almost exactly what will be on them. There are reading logs but you'll get full points if you do them.

Dr. Bantham is of the best professors I've had. Tests are worth 80% of your grade but are easy if you do the study guide. The rest of your grade is attendance and reading logs, which were very simple. I would recommend him as a teacher.

Dr. Bantham is the worst teacher I had at ISU. He does not care about his students or want them to do well on the exams. He even tells the students to not expect an A on the exams. He calls people out in class and will not answer questions that are in the syllabus. If you want respect from a professor, I do not recommend taking it with him.

Do not Take this class with this Guy. He is not a bad teacher as such But if you want to get a good grade he is not the right one. I suggest others for this class. The class lacks a critical element when the student feels he is learning something valuable.

It's very clear that Bantham is very knowledgeable about the material. I went to his office hours after every exam to review the material, and he was always very helpful. He does a good job explaining complex material. His exams are very difficult. Multiple choice questions were very hard to study for.

This class is tough, but if you pay attention you will learn so much about business as a whole. Professor Bantham is extremely well versed in the world of business and can help you with pretty much any of your classes, through his course work. Make sure to e-mail him if you miss class.

Dr. Bantham comes off as very rude in class, but is actually really nice if you go to his office to talk to him. That being said, this is a very hard class. I studied hard for tests & met with him before each test to find out how to improve, but still did poorly. Tests seem overly difficult in comparison to the information we actually learn.

Dr. B is very intelligent and very helpful. He provided lots of meaningful examples, but the class requires an immense amount of textbook reading. Attendance is daily, there are a couple small group projects, 4 tests, but not cumulative.

I might be in the minority here but I did not enjoy Dr. B's class. Smart guy, but his style of teaching just didn't suit me and I struggled and got a C. I previously had a 3.74 GPA! Also If you're not a fan of reading the textbook, then I would definitely take someone else because he makes you do reading logs for every chapter.

Grade is based on 4 tests, two case studies, a bunch of reading logs and attendance/participation. MAKE SURE YOU GET THE BOOK because you have to do reading logs on every chapter and he'll ask you questions on the material. Overall, I'd recommend Dr. B.

Dr. Bantham has made MQM 227 one of my favorite classes I have taken at ISU. He uses discussion style teaching, and you will be called on to answer questions. The class is setup up rather challenging, because the 4 exams are 80% of your grade. The exams are not easy, but he tell you exactly what to expect. Highly recommended!

Very good teacher, definitely one of the better teachers in the COB. He is extremely knowledgeable and is always clear about his expectations. His test are only somewhat difficult, but if you go to class and pay attention, a B on each one is easy. Hes not disrespectful to students, just tries to keep people attentive.

Very knowledgeable. However, very impolite to student and unwilling to help you out for a better grade. Take attendance every class. Exams are extremely important (1 multiple choice worth 0.5% of your overall grade). This class is more about exam skills than learning materials. Do not take him if you hate tricky questions in exams.

He could write his own book, very intelligent. Reading logs simply keep you accountable for being familiar with chapter material prior to class. He gives an "exam profile" (structure, types of problems) for each test. He grades short, easy essays leniently. PRACTICE the problems! Make sure you understand exactly how to work the ones he tells you!

He knows the material well and gives real life examples from his past jobs. The reading logs are annoying but they are worth 5% of your grade so it may end up helping you in the end. The exams are TOUGH. the multiple choice are trick questions half the time. The problems on the exams are easy enough though.

He definitely knows his stuff, but he makes the class harder than it needs to be. The reading logs get quite annoying by end of semester too. If you try hard you will get a good grade but theres probably other more pleasant teachers out there.

Hated this guy at first, but as the semester went on it got a little better. You get used to him. Very strict for a 100 level class. Takes attendence every day. Gives homework everyday. Dont doze off or not pay attention b/c he will call you out in front of everybody and make you look stupid. Definitly picks favorites in class.
