Prof.Ellis is the first teacher I had in the SMC.She is a wonderful teacher who works excellent with her co-worker Ms.Horowitz.If you want to have good English take them together.They will teach you everything.They're very kind and respectful to their students.STRONGLY RECOMMENDED!!!

I have no doubt that she is the best ESL teacher in SMC. If you are one who will take her class, keep in mind that u have to do really well on your essays. 4essay is heavily weight on your final grade. It seems like a lot of people like her because she is easy grader. She is NOT so easy grader but very fair.

I had with her fall semester 2004 and spring semester 2005 ESL 11A. First of all, she is very nice and her lectures are easy to understand, but she can't explain or better understand to understand if you like or want learn ESL 11A,B and 21A please go with other insructor from ESL 11A and ESL 11B and 21A.
