Tbooty is such an amazing professor! Her course did consist of 7 novels, which you get 2 weeks to read each, but she really helps you understand the novels. For a writing intensive, I didn't feel like we wrote an overwhelming amount, only about 3 papers. She is super funny and makes you comfortable to speak your mind. Love her, take her class!!

Really great with students and I enjoy her class discussion wise. She is fairly tough when it comes to grading and doesn't update grades as fast as I would have liked, but she does eventually catch up. Felt like it was more reading than writing for a writing intensive course, but I eventually didn't mind bc of her hard grading.

The enjoyment of this class is completely dependent on your own contribution. Do the reading and speak up in class. Dr. Butts does not ask for much and it's easy to get a good grade if you engage your mind and do the small amount of reading. She's very intelligent, personable, and clear in her expectations.

She is a nice lady overall, but her class is a waste of time and she made me not enjoy English and I am an English major! She needs to learn how to teach rather than ramble and crack irrelevant jokes. She won't allow makeups even with a doctors note as well.

DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS. She is a nice lady but assigns reading each night and expects 100 percent of your time for her class. Her tests are almost impossible to get a passing grade on considering she asks questions about specific quotes, etc that we have to know from the 30 pieces of work we have been assigned. I repeat, DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS!

Oh man, you've got to take Tracy. She is the bomb! She's so funny and sweet, and she's a natural at teaching. I wouldn't recommend her to you non-english major weenies because she does assign a bit more reading than you're used to, but it's not that much. It really isnt. She is just a great person, and definitely a crown jewel of the English Dept.

Tracy makes the class my favorite class of the semester. She's extremely funny and keeps me laughing every day, without fail. Some of the stuff we read is really bad, though, and a lot of times I just slack. Still, I intend on taking more classes because she's really a good professor.

Tracy is not a bad person, but her class sucks. She assigns so much reading I wanted to puke. Maybe this class would be OK if I were and ENGL major, but for a GE class it really blows. I would reccomend another class to fill your GE and Ethnic requirement
