Comment:

Unbelievably dull professor. First day of class she basically told all the aspiring pre-vet majors that they wouldn't make it, she's probably bitter she couldn't do it so she has to belittle others. Difficult to understand but she's French so it's not her fault, just a bother when you're trying to take notes.

Comment:

She is funny, nice, and very smart. Her lectures are intriguing and very informative. She is always available to talk and will work with you on any problems you might be having. She gives about 1 pop quiz every week and a half. Her tests aren't terrible but they are such a large part of the grade that if you mess up on 1 test you are in trouble.

There aren't that many tests in Bio113 (and none in Bio114), so you have to be sure to do well on all of them. She genuinely cares about her students and she has high expectations for the amount of work you put in. She's a tough grader but will help you if you need it. She's very intelligent and fun to listen to!

Her accent makes her speech and quiztest questions difficult to understand, but if you ask her for help she'll make sure you understand. Wouldn't take again because I didn't like the course content, but she seems to actually care.

Delesalle does not give any homework, so there are little chances for grades. Your final grade depends on 2 tests, a bunch of quizzes, and the final. I took AP Biology my senior year of high school and knew a lot going into the course, but still ended up with a B-. Tests are really difficult. Lots of pop quizzes, so make sure to attend lectures.

I had Delesalle for a few different classes, including 460. She has her days when she's really nice and helpful and others where you better just stay out of her way. She doesn't really teach in upper level courses, you have to be a self teacher...she more or less just leads discussion. Her tests are hard and not always on the material "taught".

Delesalle is really smart... she really loves her flowers though. So, if you can write an essay on how plants fertilize, she'll give U a good grade just for trying. Great teacher!

Professor Delesalle is very intelligent and thus may come off as intimidating, but do not let that deter you from taking her classes. To date, it is one of the best classes I have ever taken. You will learn A LOT! I love lima beans.

I didn't expect to but had an awesome time in her biology class. Her notes are all over, but she's more than happy to explain them to you later...usually. The discussion of the novels and whatnot was really cool, it made science and botany more real.
