Assignments are hard to understand what she actually wants from you unless you talk it over with her in or outside of class. Gives solid feedback, hard marker, but having her as a proff made me a much better academic writer

Made me work hard to be a good writer. Has a clear approach toward her teaching, sometimes dry, but effective. Very helpful with editing.

Great Professor. Class is split up into group work as well as going over readings. She is very clear and concise with what she wants on papers. Gives great feedback and she is always willing to help you do better. Very knowledgeable. Makes classes interesting. She actually cares if you are succeeding Would definitely recommend Rhonda for ENG105

She is a very tough grader and doesn't help when it comes to feedback. She mostly grades based on her opinions on the subject, STAY AS FAR AWAY AS YOU POSSIBLY CAN. I made the mistake of taking her and barely passed, I would never take her class again

Horrible Prof!!!! GPA KILLER!!!! DO NOT TAKE!!!! Avoid at all costs she is not worth the tuition money. Inconsistent grading, shows up late, doesn't seem to know what she is talking about. Will let you do rewrites but if you use the advice she gives you, you will always receive a lower grade.

Expects so much from you in a 100 level class. She is very unclear about what she wants and does not help you. I dreaded her class

She's a great person and really sweet but she's either a horrible prof or Eng 210 is the easiest class I've ever participated in I literally had to do an assignment in this class I did in elementary school. Easy to pass, impossible not to. You can leave class whenever you want too, she doesn't care. Her lectures are boring. Good, but boring.

Easily one of the most unorganized professors I've ever had. She misplaced multiple papers of mine as well as others and she didn't realize none of us had a syllabus until a month into the term. Hard marker, but allowed rewrites which was the only redeeming thing about her class

Rhonda is a nice woman, but not really the best teacher. She means well, and she'll reward you if she sees you putting in the effort. For example, you can rewrite your essays an unlimited amount of times. She wants to see that you're working hard. I'm a little bit on the fence with Rhonda, some days I liked her as a teacher, other days not so much

Teaches hardly anything and expects you to write as if you're an English major. Classes are dull, and hardly anything is taught. Almost cruel to allow her to be teaching an English 105 class.

Rhonda doesn't do the work for you, but she guides you. She expects you to be an adult. You get out of her what you put in. She taught me how to be a good writer and practical ways to conduct academic research. I strongly recommend Rhonda if you're want to learn the essence of human communication. Highly experienced and qualified. The real deal.

I imagine that Rhonda was meant for a managerial position In a box factory but through twists of fate became a teacher. She doesn't listen to students even when they agree with her. Her grading system is that of an individual with a loose sense of reality. UFV has many great profs and she is not one.

Horrible, she rambles on and on. When I ask questions, I end up more confused. She grades the papers based on her opinion. She allows you to rewrite you papers as much as you like, but it's almost pointless, because she is unclear in what she wants and will likely give you a worse grade than you originally received. I would NOT recomend

The question to ask is how can I make this an A paper?I think 65 reviews is too small a number to proffer a balanced view.I found I learned a great deal even though many of the recent high school grads in class found their education lacking leaving them floundering in a college quality class.A UCFV teacher cannot compensate and teach effectively.

first year english class and her expectations are graduate level. Her lectures are incredibly dull, boring and not too helpful. Her comments on essays are helpful and does let you do unlimited re-writes but that will still keep you from getting that A in class. Avoid her at all cost.

The only positive aspect of taking a class with Rhonda is she lets you re-write your essays as many times as you'd like. Unfortunately, youre going to need too. Incredibly unclear expectations, I dont think she even knows what wants. Very disorganized. She also picks on you when you dont participate in her painful lectures. AVOID.

I was really confused in this class. If you participate in class discussions, she'll like you. I recommend reading the text & doing the assignments because she's kind of confusing & goes off on tangents when she gets excited about language data. There's other LING professors who are great, so don't drop TESL because of her. It gets better! =)
