Comment:

The good: very knowledgeable, teaches the basics of the tagalog language real well; you'll have a good understanding of the language after her class. The bad: she's a NAG, if you're a non-tagalog speaker that is not cool; you'll learn a lot but not be inspired to speak because of the way she nags. Take her class with a grain of salt.

Comment:

Very kind teacher. Always willing to help those who need translating. Tests are not that hard if you study. Gives a lot of worksheets but hardly gives any homework. Most of the time, the only homework is to write sentences for about 15-20 vocabulary words. Potluck at the end of semester!!

I attended the first 4 classes(Mon and Wed evening), did ALL of the homework, including participating at all times. The 5th class was canceled by the instructor. I found out just by mere coincidence that i was dropped for NO REASON the day before this canceled class. Why? I am non-Filipino??? OR I was NOT her student previously??? Who knows?

she's very strict on quizes as far as funtuation particularly period her quizes are usually long she makes sure that no minutes are wasted thus she lectures till end of the class. too much homework and sometimes not clear on her instruction. I'll suggest picking the other prof because she's smarter and not strict specially spellings.

She's a very kind teacher. If she really had graded strict, I think I would have had a bad grade. Even if you get D's on the midterm and quizzes, and if you do your work, participate and everything she asks, which is not hard, you'll get a good grade.

This class was eaasssyyy. I went into this course taking my last Pilipino course as a Junior in High School. I did not know much just the basics. Very easy class. She can be very helpful too..but awful with clarity and directions. I was lost at times.

Strict professor. If you get on her good side and be her pet, youll get a good grade. I know Tagalog so that was the only reason why I got an A.
