Lectures are forgettable. Material is abstract, if you like that kind of thing. Very little practical application. I would assume he would be better as a researcher as his people skills and presentation of the subject matter are dry. retirement was a good choice as that type of teaching methodology and overall stance has become obsolete.

Comment:

Long difficult readings. Not much guidance so you are kind of on your own to learn the material. However, I really liked Prof. Knitter. Definitely an example of old school teaching style, but his classes are also thought provoking and he seems dedicated.

Very thoughtful and intellectual professor. Some consider him dry and overly vague, but he challenges the students to think over the reading materials and come up with though-provoking responses.
