Comment:

Wendy offers her many years of experience with a tongue-in-cheek wit and a keen eye for detail. She rewards improvement across the semester more than the talent a dancer is born with. If you have a strong work ethic, you show up to every class, and you listen carefully to what she says you will improve your ballet technique.

Comment:

I love this professor! She is an amazing dancer and she cares about her students' future in dance. This class is not a 'fun' dance class, rather a class that truly helps you transform into a better dancer! I learned so much. She is strict but that's what makes this class professional.

Comment:

Wendy is very rude and makes comments that are unacceptable. Even if you do have previous dance experience, Wendy wants you to forget what you know and start from scratch to learn her way. I do not recommend Wendy as a ballet teacher. Tough love is one thing, but rudeness and blatant doubt about your future as a dancer is another thing.

Wendy is a ballet elitist. If your looking for great use of pedagogy and teaching methods this is not the class for you. If you are an advanced ballet dancer and absolutely sure of it, enjoy and old world way of thinking, and judgmental ineffective teaching. Enjoy!

Wendy is awesome, I took her class with very little previous training in ballet or any dance for that matter. She really makes you work hard, but it's well worth it; it's not an easy class and you'll most likely sweat every time. You are required to wear a leotard and pink tights which I didn't like at first, but I got over it.Take this class!

Wonderful teacher! You must attend class- it'll lower your grade if you don't come! I took her class 3 times, loved it the 3rd time since I felt like I was finally mastering it. She's great and totally breaks it down (unlike some of the teachers at the Bay Area dance schools). Take it!

Wendy's an amazing dance teacher. She pushes you to dance better than you thought you could. I grew more as a dancer during this class than I ever have in my life. She's a hard grader, but if you wanna get better at dancing then take her class

Wendy is a fantastic teacher! She's extremely intimidating but wants nothing but for you to improve and is extremely helpful. I've had many dance teachers in my day, but she has been one of the best and I look forward to taking her class again.

Attend Class. Like any dance class, you will improve if you attend consistently. She gets to know everyone's names, strengths, and weaknesses very quickly. You get a lot of attention compared to other classes in the city. Always be up for a challenge.

Wendy is crazy intense. You have to come to class, or she will kind of hate you, and she definitely lets you know if you are messing up. She comes off a little mean, but if you can't take it, she has this bad ass TA who is a genius, and really nice. Her name is like, Mae or something, and working with her for 20 minutes will change your dancing.

Even tho she's really strict and in your face, she is an excellent teacher. I'd recommend to anyone that takes this class to be able to take constructive criticism. I always hear people complaining about how she's so mean..but really you just need to be able to take what she's saying and just do it. and don't take things personally

Ms. Diamond is amazing teacher and dancer, who has so much passion for what she does. She helps those who are having trouble, repeats herself constantly, and demonstrates everything multiple times. If you have a open mind and are willing to learn, take her class. This class is not an easy A, and its not supposed to be.
