She is very big on the textbook when it's about test and quizzes. The quizzes are graded by the students and for the exams she posts the test questions a week before. She is very big on participations and know exactly what she wants. Basically don't try to bs her it won't work.

Tough child study professor. She acts like she doesn't care. Makes you feel dumb if you don't answer correctly. Her way or the Highway. Get on her good side or she won't like you. She always seems like she is In a bad mood.

Comment:

Having Wendy Hope for my first semester of college definitely had me questioning whether or not child study would be something that I'd like to continue. She is an extremely tough grader, and notices all the little details. Her lectures are informative, where she references real life scenarios. Also, prepare to use the textbook heavily.

Comment:

She is funny yet very hard to talk to. She will make you feel like an idiot if you ask her to explain assignments. She refers to her syllabus more than anything. She can be very confusing. Assignments are usually long. Her tests are common sense and the quizzes she gives she lets your classmates grade. Get in her good graces and you will be fine.

All she does in class is go through each slide, you don't even have to show up she barely takes attendance. She will embarrass you if you get the answer wrong in class and sometimes she doesn't hear you and you could have said exactly what she wanted. She gives the tests before hand which is great, but she can get annoying.

I've had her twice now for child study classes. She doesn't learn your name, she only recently learned mine after having me twice. She reads from the board but brings up personal stories a lot, she does know a lot so ask her questions. If you answer a question wrong she does make you feel pretty stupid about it. She gives you test questions before.

Most classes you sit, and listen to her talk about the slides on the screen. You don't have to write down the slides because they are from the textbook and online. She is a tough grader but she gives you a detailed layout so if you follow it, you shouldn't have any problems. Her classes are fun if you have a sense of humor but overall she isn't bad

OH MY GOD! This woman is too much. I had her for 3 different classes for three semesters in a row. She has NO idea who I am. Also,don't bother asking her about anything cause she "AIN'T GOT NO TIME FOR THAT". She's hysterical though.

I thought she was actually a really good teacher. Aced both (CS 101 and 102) her classes. She is a HORRIBLE advisor, though. She never lets you take the classes that you want, so be prepared to settle.

She was hysterical! Gives good advice- For example, marry a rich guy so if he leaves you, you get alot of money! You have to do a lot of reading on your own though because she "ain't got time for that!"

If you ask her a question, she will tell you to hold on & open the book to read the chapter. LOL! Isn't this supposed to be her FIELD, shouldn't she be knowledgable in at least everything CHILD STUDY related? Obviously not. She got her degree in Barbados, I can imagine how selective they were!

I do agree that at times, you are list in her class. You are a college students and news flash, you have to read your text book and get some info on your own. Give her a break..shes not a bad woman..take time to talk to her & u will realize shes helpful
