An engaging and passionate teacher, though very particular about what he wants from his students and isn't always good at communicating his standards. Overall though, a fun teacher to have, just don't be surprised if he doesn't like your work for seemingly arbitrary reasons or for reasons that you couldn't do anything about.

The course was very engaging and I learned a lot. I found Wes to be passionate about his teaching. He is a bit vague in what he wants until you do the pre-rehearsal and then he will tell YOU exactly what he wants. Everything is worth marks so make no assumptions! Does not like it if you are late or skip class. Sketchy with office hours.

oh wesley! he really is a great guy, very passionate about what he does. some think he's harsh and very critical, but it is his job. he looks out for his students and whats the best for them. he can be a bit opinionated but he just wants the best from his students. he's also pretty easy on the eyes.

Verry clear with what he wanted but i found i did more script writing than i did acting. Loved his methodes but suffered greatly with pre-chosen partners. Good class and was what i expected. (very attractive, from a guys pov also)

Irked a few people, though I personally enjoyed him. He helps you get comfortable and breaks any nerves you might have about acting. He's fun and his class is enjoyable. His only downturn is that he likes things performed HIS way and isn't too open to new ideas, (though it was a first year class so he is likely just solidifying the basics).

Reading the other reviews on here for Theatre 111 was what I thought they would be: a bunch of 18 year olds that expected this class to be a breeze, as it doesn't require formulas or assigned reading text. He tells you like it is. If you do your work and put forth an effort, you'll be fine.

There is no assigned text, so it'll be easy right? Yeah, right. He played games with us for the first 3wks to "help us relax". Said nothing of the solo until a wk before it was due. He seems helpful, but he really rushed answering my questions. Left me feeling more clueless than I had been before asking for help. I really enjoyed thtr, but not now.

I can honestly say I hate Wes. Just did not like the guy at all. I have acted before, and I do it for fun. He takes it way too seriously and its almost like he gets nervous when there are good actors in the class. Makes examples of people to up himself. I hope he reads this.

Westley has almost bi-polar mood swings. He will invade your personal bubble to such an extent that all you can think about is how you want him to step back. He will mark you on what his vision of the assignment should be, and not how well you actually did. This man is a very poor teacher he would better suit a career in directing.
