Pretty strict teacher. Snaps if you have too many questions or are confused about something she has said. Assignments are straight forward. Class was interesting. She tries to fit a lot of material in. Learned a good amount. Could never imagine her as an elementary teacher though. (Kids would be terrified)

As the semester progressed I gained such respect for the class, and for the teacher. Dr. Wright is a brilliant individual with great intentions. She is there to help and will give you respect as long as she gets it back. If you are passionate about education, this class is worth it.

This professor is passionate about education and knows what she is talking about. As long as you go to class, pay attention and complete assignments, the class is easy. If you are an education major and cannot handle the workload in this class, you might want to think about another profession.

awful teacher, never take her. She doesn't make any sense, no answer you give her is good enough. She is rude, midterms and finals are so hard and it is impossible to get above a C. Would never recommend her. She is what made me change my major.

Would not recommend this course to anybody. There was a load of work that has to be done outside of class. Many books you have to read (that make no sense) The midterm and final is ridiculously hard. Any answer you give her is not good enough. She expects WAY too much in so little time. She is not lenient with any of her work. Hardest class ever!

She is the toughest teacher I had this semester. She grades very tough and any answer you give her she will say is wrong and then basically rephrase what you said. She's kind of a bully, telling students to "watch their head" whatever that means. I highly suggest switching out of this chance if you have the choice. I considered changing my major..

She is tough and you have to read four novels at once. however, she does give good information and knows what she is talking about, you have to understand the books so that you can analyze in class. I would take her again, she is tough but it makes you think and she knows what it takes to be a good teacher.

You need four chapter books for the class which isn't bad but the hw on the books is terrible. She expects you to read four books at once and never goes over them in class. If you're a psych major she'll call you out on it in class. She is vague when it comes to hw and doesn't tell you whats due but its on the syllabus. Wouldn't recommend her.

Had her for 155 too, she gives students a run for her money. Very unclear about a lot of things, says one thing and then tells you its completley wring the next day. Expects us to do so much in so little time. Thinks we know everything when we dont. Overall, if you try and pay attention, youll succeed.

Took her for Ed 155 too. She knows a lot about what she is talking about. Her work load is kind of high but she lets you know ahead of time whats due. She goes over everything on mid-term and final. Some discussions are not organized and seem like a waste of time. But overall pretty good teacher, opionionated but is very intelligent and experienced

I think she gets a bad rap! I took one of her classes and am so glad I have her again next semester! Very knowledgeable and helpful. Great personality. You do have to work hard, but it prepares you for teaching so it is worth it! Tests and quizzes are exactly what she says they will be; no surprises. Put in noticeable effort and you'll be fine!

Comment:

This class was one of the hardest classes I have ever taken. She is a good professor teaching wise, but her work was all over the place. The field work journal made me want to cry. She never explains assignments and goes off topic on powerpoints. Gives us like 5 seconds to copy. If you do the work and listen and put in effort you will be fine.
