I took Dr. Andrews' World Civ. 1 (1110) class last semester and WC2 this semester. His classes are always interesting and fun. His teaching style is laid-back, but effective. I learned a lot from both courses. It's a shame he is retiring after this (Spring '11) semester.

Rambles a lot. Doesn't cover the material. He's very nice but not helpful at all. Don't do his biographic report, you can't write it to suit him. Do the movies.

By far my favorite professor of the semester! Dr. Andrews definitely knows his stuff. He strays off topic at times, but still gets the info delivered in a clear manner. I highly recommend you take one of Dr. Andrews' classes before he retires (which he said will be soon).

Andrews is a straight-up nice guy, he is laid back, and doesn't really care if you come to class as long as you know what your doing when it comes to the exams, tip he can go off topic, but in the end it all works out, I got a A in that class, and it was World Civ, and I enjoyed his class greatly. Just take a lot of notes.

I had Mr. Andrews for Hist. 2010 and Hist 2020. He was a good teacher, but talks alot about other stuff and procrastinates about the in class essays, which made me mad b/c I was so ready to take them. He is a laid back teacher but is willing to work with you. Just a tip, Study, study, study and take notes! He made history intresting.

The formula 2 my success in this class was a genuine interest in the subject&taking extensive notes. He provides bullet points in a power pt. but it is up 2 u 2 fill in the rest. He's VERY lenient on attendance&obviously isn't offended if u sleep in his class. I loved him!! There's nothing overly spectacular a/b him; he's just a genuinely good man!

Dr. Andrews is a very smart man and will hold your attention in class. Take good notes and come to the study sessions he provides. If you attend class there is no way you can fail. He is a great photographer and has amazing stories. I would recommend taking him to anyone and would take him again if he offered a class i needed.
