I did not like how this class was taught, but to each their own. Difficult class, difficult grading criteria. If you are majoring in ecology, maybe you would benefit from taking this teacher. But if youre just taking it as requirement, take someone else. I had A's all semester except in this class where a C was my best grade.

Attendance not required, but you NEED to go. Biometry is one of those courses you learn by doing and he assigns tons of homework, stacking assignments. Will work with you though and very fair

I had the privileged of studying under Dr. Baltosser 16 years ago. He embedded principles into my understanding of the natural world and its complex interactions. I have much gratification for the guidance and the structure he provided which I continuously fall back upon. He pushes you to your maximum abilities, but in the end you benefit.

Dr. Baltosser is one of my favorite teachers. In his courses you have to work for your grade, but he is very clear on how to achieve an A. Work hard and get an A or be lazy and fail. He is one of the best teachers ever and is dedicated to his job and will assist a student as much as necessary.

Dr. Baltosser is a great proffessor. His class is not easy and his lab (Biol. 3301) is not easy either. Class is notes, notes, notes!! The lab is quantitative, so there is a lot of statistics involved nut he shows you how everything works and it is fairly simple if you just show up and pay a little of attention.

Dr. B is a wonderful professor and man. He is as good as it gets, and I am thankful for the knowledge he passed on to me. As long as you go to class, pay attention, and study, you will do fine, even in upper level courses. He is fair, interesting, takes time to explain concepts, and genuinely wants his students to do well. Thanks, Dr. B.

Dr. Balltosser was by far one of the most superb professors I have ever had in the biology department at UALR. He explains and covers everything you need to know. Very likeable and, oh..he gives you the test questions the class period before the test. If you don't make an A, you may want to consider changing majors...

Dr. Baltosser is an excellent professor. His class can be difficult, but as long as you take good notes and study well (PROTIP: Make outlines) you will do well. The lab is easy and collaborative. No textbook used for class. Attend every day of class. Complainers are generally either lazy/aren't very efficient studiers. Hardest exam is the 2° exam

Lab is very statistics heavy - but really does help explain concepts. The class is taught directly from his slides, no textbook and thus no homework problems, quizzes or such to prepare you for the exams. Attend class regularly, ask for clarification, and pay attention to what he stresses and it's possible to do well.

Have you ever gotten an F on a lab report? Neither had I until I took this idiot of a professor. I honestly had also never seen such a confounding imbecile prior to taking this bafoon of a human's class. While I could rant for hours about how pathetic of an instructor he was, I'll just say this: DO NOT TAKE HIM. This is likely your only warning.

Baltosser is a very good instructor. He challenges you, yet is very fair. His tests can be very long but he usually gives you study material that is reflective of what the test will be. Biometry is an exhausting course though. Don't take it with a full load.

This teacher is nice but his classes are extremely hard. Most students drop his class after the first test- including pre-med students. His notes are very unclear & unorganized- hard to follow & he uses these notes only, no books are used. Average students--get ready to make your first "F" in college (even if you study your butt off).
