Professor Duncan is one of the BEST PROFESSOR I HAVE EVER HAD!!! I wish I could take all my classes with him!!! go to class because if you miss a class you miss an opportunity to gain his wisdom !!! loved all your lessons you made me realize that I don't need toxic people in my life so thank you!!!

The best professor ever! If you want to enjoy, LITERALLY enjoy this class, just take him! Prof. Duncan is awesome!!! His lectures are unique and invaluable. He creates an atmosphere of "knowledge enjoyment". As for his grading criteria, it is really easy to get an A. Just follow his instructions which are really helpful and clear.

Professor Duncun is one of the best professors anywhere. I learned so much from him. The way he teaches made this class very easy for me to pass. He is clear in what he wants and if you do what he says you should have no problem getting at least an B in his class. I was terrified to speak in front of people, but after taking him, no worries anymore

He can talk. Bunch of random, fun facts. Had him for speech and he was an average grader. Very interesting guy. Just went and sat in his class to see what thing he'd talk about today

Professor Duncan is quick-witted and ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS, like hurt-your-stomach funny. He's reputed to be a lenient grader and an all-round awesome dude, so his sections fill up FAST (both 101/104). I don't think it's possible to get a 'C' or lower in this class unless you forget to do a speech, or completely stop attending class for some reason.

if you are bad at public speaking, or shy at all, you will not get an A in the course, full stop. otherwise he is VERY clear on what he wants from you in your (3-4) speeches. Most of the class is him rambling on about stuff. we learned about art, wilt chamberlain, and the jail system in the United States. Oh, and I guess some speech too xD.

Professor Duncan was absolutely amazing! He explains thoroughly on how to give a proper speech. Extremely knowledgeable and will tell you stories of many interesting topics/people. Very generous when it comes to grading and gives great feedback on how to improve! Easy A

Taking Prof. Duncan for Comm. 101 will be the best decision you will ever make. His lectures are hilarious and have meaning. He really challenges your thoughts in a good way. I enjoyed having him as a professor. DO YOUR SPEECHES. Seriously, its not that hard. Do them. Id recommend him over and over again!

He is definitely the best professor you will ever take. His lectures are so funny but also thought provoking. He is as real as it gets. If you can follow simple directions you will get an A. He is the Wilt Chambelain of speech.

If your going to school to actually learn, you couldn't find a better teacher. He is hands down the most intriguing and intelligent man I have ever met, I absolutely look forward to class every day. He is someone who will not only help you master this subject, but help you consider your views about life and who you are a person.

Yancy Duncan is not your average professor. He is honest, sharp, unapologetic, and a real joy to have as an instructor. You will do well on speeches as long as you pay attention and are not afraid to ask for clarification if need be. Sometimes, I stayed after class and he went above and beyond to help make my speeches better. He is fantastic!

This guy is as real as it gets. He has so much energy & passion about what he says. Gives excellent feedback on speeches & is a great motivator. Only assigns 3 speeches, follow his structure, do good research & practice your speeches & you will PASS regardless if you're good at speaking in front of people or not. Just do the speeches!!!

Duncan is awesome. He is sarcastic as hell but his lectures are so amusing & deep at times. He has so much passion about speaking & as long as you do every single speech he assigns which is just 3, you WILL pass. No judgement on speeches & gives constructive feedback. Just a cool professor, maybe one of the best. No need to buy books or study!

Prof. Duncan changed my life! He is one of those guys you will find once in a generation. Intelligent, funny, caring, and in touch with his students. Knows what he is talking about. First day of class told us not to buy the book. "You don't read about public speaking. You practice it" His class also helped me become a much better academic writer.

Professor makes class go by so fast! Very street smart and book smart. Takes in consideration every student; their thoughts and opinions. If you are unclear with a topic he will go over it as many times as you need. I highly recommend to take his class!

Never have I had a professor quite like Duncan Yancy. His way of teaching is incredibly abstract, but not in the way that should scare anyone away. As I did his class i saw substantial improvement from all of the students and for me my nervousness in public speaking seemed to go away completely. His class is fun, interesting and helpful. GO YANCY!
