Besides being extremely biased, false and propagating propaganda. This teacher requires that you read at least 8 books, you get only a midterm and a final on these books and when the entire class performs poorly, he blames you. He rarely shows up to class and not that his notes are useful, but whether he's present or not your basically screwed.

Does not offer any help when you ask for it. His midterms and finals are impossible to pass, do not rely on the lecture alone, you must read the books(all 8 or more of them) in order to pass. I would not recommend him.

Listen to his warning at the beginning of the semester, you seriously WILL have to read about 4 hours a week for his class, maybe even more. He is very intimidating and shouts his entire lectures. I think he's quite passionate about his subject, but I feel as though he expects us to know as much as he does by the end of it.

He is ****s, especially with students from the midle est that do not agree with his views. He hold grudges against his student and i experience it, myself. He should not be in such honorable porfession like teaching, because he is the wrong person. He does not comunicate with his students nor acknowledge their efforts. On top, he is a tough grade

Very demanding essays. NO EXCUSES!! He lays it out for you by giving possible essays a week in advance. I got an 80 on the mid-term after a 10 point curve (and I thought I nailed it!) and a final grade of A-. So, not sure. He may grade tough to start and then easier for final. I never heard the other's grades. YOU WILL LEARN!!

Very smart man but very poor teacher. Shows absolutely no compassion for students, and little interest. His way or the highway. For an upper level class sent a TA or showed a video way too much. Unfotunately for being an interesting topic with an accomplished professor this class STUNK.

Basically an overall a - hole. Gives way too much reading, and does not specify what in it you should read. Comes to class with no prepared lecture or notes to gives. Instead he substitutes real teaching with dumb videos and TA's when he takes off 4 or more days for personal trips, and gives the class no notice. Waste of time and money.

VERY knowledgable on subject, but uninterested in teaching. Shows A LOT of videos and assigns A LOT of books, and tests relfect books and videos MUCH more than lecture. If you want to learn about subject, watch PBS's Frontline and read books about the subject instead of taking this class, because that's all you'll be doing. Big time waste of time.

Harsh and very demanding for undergrads. Grading standards are arbitrary and poorly explained, even in person. Seem sot get frustrated with students more easily. Despite being very knowledgeable in his field, should probably seek other employment if he truly hates his students as much as he seems to.

By far the worst teacher i have ever had! He needs to be fired! DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASSES! Consider yourselves warned. Im going to complain about him. He is manipulative, rude, lazy. At the Masters level, made students feel like we were in High School. Arrogant, inflexible, and more concerned with the mechanics of our research papers and presentations than content. I would never take a class with him again.

Nice guy, pretty tough though because there's no work besides the midterm and the final. Also, attendence is pretty much a must-he gets a good part of the final grade from that. But, a nice guy-non biased, easy to work with if you attend class.
