For a gen-ed you're better off taking another professor. She's highly unreasonable and there are much better options.

Talks down to the students very frequently. Never once posted anything on blackboard. Unyielding in the attendance policy, even if you have a doctors note or a court date. If I only had one word to describe her, it could only be pretentious!

The entire class is based on group work, so choose your group carefully. For WRI 1100, you can expect 3 major essays (4-6 pages double space) and 3 easy in class essays. The textbook, attendance and turning in homework on time is a must. Overall, very interesting class.

Her class is easy if you are self sufficient and are good with groups. As long as you do the papers and go to the group days you will pass.

NeJame is pretty unreasonable at being flexible. I would not take her again however, if you like group work give this class a shot. Make sure you team up with good people on the first day though because they will be giving you feedback throughout the whole semester.

Professor Nejame's class was fair. We had the usual essays and we did use the book often. I really enjoyed the group work where we got to share our work with others. I was in the honor class and so it was a bit challenging. Just read the syllabus and you should do well if you do all the work. Good luck!

She makes you do tedious readings and summaries that aren't graded. Takes attendance randomly and has "participation" points. So if you don't like to speak up in class DON'T take her!

Great Professor! Her outlines clearly tell u what the assignment should be. If you don't already know MLA or how to cite, take a different class because she expects you to know it already. Really laid back, yet expects your work to be on time.

Everything has been said already. Rather soft spoken. Conversely, if you get on her good side, its impossible to fail. Your grades will continually go up

She's the type of teacher that's too nice and squeaky clean to get her into trouble. I didn't enjoy the way she runs her class. Us students practically teach ourselves. Useless since most students don't know how to write yet we're grading each others' paper. Talks too much, too slow. Absolutely NOT helpful outside of class, waste of tuition $.

Bring materials to class! POETRY FANATIC (understatement). Take home tests no quizzes. Hard to pay attention most times because she is so soft-spoken. She tires to learn your name but only learns the names of those who speak up a lot in class. Jot notes on the side of the short stories and poetry, they'll become handy for tests.

She is a horrible teacher. She would rather spend the class time boasting about her own poetry accomplishments. She is not good to have if you can't make it to class for whatever reason...I don't think that there are any excuses or doctors notes that can excuse you. She does talk down to the students. The class is too easy, i didnt learn anything

I enjoyed her class but the only thing is how she cares more about your grammar errors more than the essay itself. good thing about this class is the worshopping we did in groups but again she wasn't helpful at all. she's not all that great but there is no final!:)
