He is a great teacher who does all that he can to help you pass the class. You do have to do all the essays and reading but the work is not hard and you wil leave the class loving to write. He cares about his students having a good grade in the class and is very funny. TAKE HIM!

Professor Taylor was very interesting. He has a interesting sense of humor thats make you laugh because of the randomness of it. He is very heplful and cares about his students learning and the subject itself. If you do the assignments (which aren't to hard) you will pass easily. I highly recomend him, he will help you very much.

Professor T is super! Helped me with essays....and I hate essays! Very funny, a Star Trek fan...Will give you help during office hours..He sincerely cares about whether his students "get it"...He will get you ready for all those GR classes...wish he taught HUM classes! Wonderful teacher!

Very helpful with essay writing....He will take as many tutoring sessions as necessary....Took him for comp 1 and 2....I would do it again! Especially if you aren't good at essay writing!! Need to work hard, it isn't an easy A....But, nothing worthwhile is easy..... Great Teacher!

He is a good teacher but i would not take him again. He is so specfic on what he wants on his essays and its annoying and if you dont do it right then he marks off points. He doesnt teach you how to write your outlines you have to teach yourself and hope you did it right. He is a good teacher but i would not take him again, someone else.

You'll really learn in his class. Every class there's a 10 question quiz in the beginning about the assigned readings. I'd recommend him to anyone that really wants to learn. Easy grader. If you want an easy A, look elsewhere. He teaches you how to properly write an essay with outlines. 5 papers, quiz every class, a few tests, and rare homework.

Great Guy, taught me how to write an essay the correct way, he also taught me alot about startrek, i only got a C in his class but that was out of personal fault, i'm taking his Comp 2 class next semester, HIGHLY RECCOMENDED to those that want to learn, not just pass...

Prof Taylor is AOK. I enjoyed the class. 2 quizzes/week was awful, I failed more than I passed; however, if the essays are written well, a student can still attain a decent grade. He is VERY fair with grading papers, so kudos on that. Unlimited extra credit. 91 for an A is tough, I just missed. All in all, don't worry, register & learn. Taylor's OK

If you're getting bad grades on the essays, you probably don't know how to write. Spock drinking Pepsi and Sulu saving a ship really helps to remember change in the simple sentences. I could have gotten and A+ if I had tried in this class. I never read the text book, but I still got a B++ a 90.5 (yeah 90 is still a "B" you need a 91+ to have an "A"

I took Professor Taylor's class for both Freshman Comp and Comp 2. He makes the course more interesting with his sentence examples. His references to Star Trek are also very entertaining. It may take a while to get use to his style, but the class is definitely "splendid and worthwhile." :D

Mr. Taylor IS a great teacher. I took him for Comp 1 & Comp 2. Do you have to do work, yes! But in real life, nothing comes easy, or without effort. If you listen, pay attention, and do the essays.. you are in for an A. He gives you time & how to do it. Always available! You would be a fool not to take his class.

He is a good guy. People say he is hard and what not. He is a professor where you accully have to read and study and know what the hell you are doing. I took Prof. Taylor almost two years ago, and he was a great teacher. He loves his family and Star Wars, also his essays are not THAT hard. They are actually helpful now that I look back because they helped me get used to writing essays for the rest of my college career. Truthfully, a great teacher.

I don't know what any of these negative comments are referring to because Professor Taylor is a wonderful teacher. Very helpful. Doesn't go on until every student understands. Always gives out extra credit because he just wants everyone to get a good great. Class is quite repetitive, but not boring and very easy. Highly recommend.

Make sure you read the assigned pages, even if it is right before the quiz. His tests are exactly like his quizzes. He gives ALOT of extra credit! just make sure you do all of the essays and you will get an A.
