Get's on tangents a lot. Her tests don't cover material from her lectures. She seems to know a lot but I find instances where she makes up things to fit her story.

Comment:
Dr. Kleimola is extremely knowledgeable about Russia. She is a little monotonous and I became extremely bored around mid-March. Her tests consist of essays derived mostly from lecture (I rarely read the main textbook and did fine), but I strongly recommend that one reads the other books, as questions over these are worth the most on exams.

She is very monotone, puts you to sleep. She didn't really mention it, but you really need to keep up with the books. I found most of her essay test questions were based from the books, and not so much the notes. I found I could miss class a lot and still get at least a B on a test by having read the book.

Her voice is monotone...extremely boring, but if you want a good grade you should go to class. I got a C- on my first test because I never went to class, and an A on the final because I went to class and memorized dates and time lines. She's boring but a pretty easy grader. It's a good class if history interests you...

Although her voice WILL lull you to sleep, she is extremely knowledgeable on the topic and often talks about obscure facts. She holds a microphone so you can hear her but she doesn't put it next to her mouth, so you can't always hear her. She is a pretty easy grader if you sorta know what youre talking about. You have to read the books n take notes

She knows a lot. She's usually pretty clear, but if you don't pay attention her voice can put you to sleep (so pay attention). I'm lucky that I took an E. European PoliSci class prior to this one, but some of her info did go over other student's heads. Easy to take to notes from. Essay tests are alright. An easy grader, as long as you pay attention

Dr. Kleimola is a very interesting and nice person. That said, she is a terrible teacher. Her droning voice might be tolerable if what she said made any sense. Goes off on useless tangents, assumes you have obscure background knowledge, and generally fails to make a coherent point to the class. At least she's an easy grader.

Put me to sleep. Voice drones on and on about nothing in particular. Goes off on odd tangents. Beware.

Although she regularly makes herself laugh, you will never crack a smile of entertainment. She took an interesting subject and made it as boring as possibly imaginable. She has a tendency to go off on tangents and the real focus is lost. This class will put you to sleep.

This professor is boring and nonsensical. She made a somewhat interesting topic completely unbearable. Just say NO.
