Her class consists of guest speakers. She doesn't actually lecture and if she does it's just reading power points. She is rude and inconsiderate of your life outside her class. Her grading is based off her personal beliefs or things she agrees/disagrees with. Easily one of the WORST professors I've taken at SJSU. DON'T DO IT. Save your GPA!!!

Venture Lab is a no nonsense class that revolves around reiterating your product for your customer needs. This was the hardest class I have ever experienced. The greatest value was there was no financial consequence to starting a business and having it fail. I learned a lot in the class about myself and the business world. Great hands on experience

Absolutely terrible. She is disrespectful to students and will literally walk away from you if you talk to her about an issue you are having with the course. She is an extremely tough grader and pretty much just grades based off of if she likes you or your product. This is the worst teacher I have taken at SJSU and I would advise everyone to avoid.

Great connections to people in the business world and a lot of insight in helping develop a business. This professor and this class are extremely valuable to anybody from any background that is thinking of launching their own business. The course work may not be rocket science but it is challenging because there are so many dimensions to evaluate.

Prof Basu brings industry entrepreneurs for the real life case studies. She encourages students to write the best possible business plan. She is always available for help. I highly recommend her class. She is inspiration to new entrepreneurs.

she's hard to communicate with when in need of help, interrupts students while taking tests/quizzes, can't relate to her students, got upset when we gave her honest feedback about teaching style. She is a great teacher if you go the extra mile and try to actually learn the material. If you are trying to breeze through class, pick another teacher. She is a fair grader, but if you dont show up and dont learn she will make you time in class miserable. She is one of my favorite teachers at SJSU regardless of the grade i receive.

She is awsome. A little moody but very nice. If you plan not showing up to class, forget it. She makes students feel comfortable to express themselves in class and she always make sure we understand all the course materials. If you respect her, she will respect you. Midterm is open book and final is take-home. Xtra credits are also availabe.

Very disorganized, has no control over class, but if you stick with it, you can get a good grade. 2 papers, 5 hw assignments, NIF group project (pain in the butt), 2 mid-terms & final. There are guest speakers at times. Only take this class if you are willing to put up with her inability to be clear. She's however passionate about entrepreneurship.

Very unstructured lectures, no powerpoints and very little material actually covered in class...boring lectures but you don't have to go to class to get an A...exams are pretty easy if you do the review...only 5 easy hw assingments, a team project, and a shadow project...overall a very easy A if you do your work...

She is the best teacher for sure. She is very smart, credible, and funny. As long as you dont act stupid she will be nice. There is only 5 homeworks that are super easy and if you listen at all in class you should pass the tests. Anu Basu 08'

Professor Basu was awesome, I don't know what any of you are talking about!! She was so helpful, very clear about her assignments. Just because you didn't do any work at all doesn't mean you should bring this professor down. I only wish every professor cared as much as Anu does!

wow, this character shouldnt be teaching, like she always likes to mentions in class. unclear in grading and assignment. loves suckups, and hates people who like to work individually. very unsensitive to diversity. she has a BIGGG EGO! wants you to listen to every word she sais in class, which is 70% BS. horrible teacher and person--avoid her.
