Comment:

Dr. Beranek is a very nice person however, his class (Tolkien) was probably the most unorganized class i have taken. We were only graded on literally 3 assignments to which it took months to get returned. Is very intelligent on English literature especially Tolkien. I don't recommend this class despite the interesting title.

Logic & Rhetoric. Very boring class, you have to really be interested to not find it boring. Easy, didn't try on any of my papers and got a B by doing nothing. Extremely intelligent, well-read man, and a very nice guy... just a very boring class by virtue of boring material. He was late most every class, and sometimes didn't show at all.

Terrible....this class was unbearably boring...he didn't return one paper or test to us...what a waste of time...he ended up just giving everyone A's...don't go to class! it's a waste of your time and all he does is talk the whole time about irrelevant stuff. an easy A, but you learn absolutely nothing.

Don't worry about showing up to class, sometimes he won't even do that. He's very old and very slow. You won't really be able to tell what he's saying, but you probably won't be paying attention either. He grades fair, but his class is a waste of time.

He is a very interesting teacher I had for Logic & Rhetoric. He is a very smart man, though he drones on and on about subjects that aren't even relevant half the time. I also have had 3 assignments from him, and its past midterm, and he hasn't handed any of them back yet. As far as I know though, I'm doing good in the class because I participate.

I voluntarily took him 3 times (Brit Lit I, Histy of Eng Lang, Critical Issues) and I loved them all! He is a wonderful man and professor amd was always kind, considerate, and understanding. He is a fair grader and doesn't talk down to his students.

Had him for both Brit Lit and Western Lit. Nice guy, and if he likes you, he's more personable than he seems to be to others. Not the greatest teacher in the world, but a must take for an easy writing intensive lit class.

This guy is so sweet! Has a hard time coming to class on time (and sometimes forgets about it completely). But he's very intelligent and knows what he's doing. It's not difficult to get an A in his class, because there's never that much to do for him.
