He is very nice but can be hard to understand most of the time. He gives lots of extra credit (Pop quizzes, bonus questions on tests, and weekly computer work). His tests can be pretty difficult so you do need to study his power points and vocabulary pretty well. You do weekly assignments in class but they are fairly easy.

Geography 111 is a basic geography class but his communication abilities really add to the difficulty of the class. The only way to do good on the tests are to really study the power points. His lack of communication skills make it more difficult but he offers a good amount of extra credit to make up for it. Organization skills are definitely 2/10.

Dr. Zhou has high expectations; however, he is always willing to help if students let him know they are having trouble understanding the material. There is a lot of homework in his statistics classes, but that's to be expected given the topic. I think he is a great professor. He replies to emails faster than any other professor I have had.

Happy, mellow guy. Awful methodology and expectations that are ridiculous. No tutor available for the course. Having graduate degrees hinge on passing this course is a failure of the Geography graduate department. Unfortunately, it's required and not taught by anyone else.

This class has a lot of busy work built into the class and if you dont finish then you can take it home. Study the vocab heavy because they are always on the tests. This class wasnt too hard but you had to do the stuff and go to class. Over all would recommend (unless theres an even easier teacher).

His accent is hard to understand but you'll get used to it. 4 tests, all he gives detailed study guides for. Make flash cards of the study guides and you will pass. Overall an easy class, I enjoyed it. He does some small activities and it makes it really interesting.

Bin is a great guy. This is class was super super easy. Just do the graph node excel things he assigns and the reading summaries and you shouldn't have a problem. Go to class. It's mandatory. You won't need help or anything though. Start the reading summaries early. Ask him if you need help. He is very kind.

I went everyday to his class and it was still unbelievable hard. You can't understand what he's saying at all and even if you study the power points he adds extra things on the test that he doesn't even go over. I would never take him again.

Zhou is an interesting professor. At the 300 level he expects students to work hard and be able to memorize volumes of information on essay tests while balancing lengthy out of class assignments. It was also a struggle to understand what Zhou is looking for on tests as he seems to disproportionately mark off random points.

Pretty funny guy. Overall an enjoyable class. His accent is kind of hard to understand at first but you get used to it pretty quickly. Make sure you understand and memorize the maps, they will be counted. He gives extra credit and makes learning about China not too bad. Lots of jokes and crazy movies.

Asian geography was quite an interesting class. Dr. Zhou had a zest for teaching it...i'm guessing because he's Asian??? His map test are HARD...gives you 40 locations to study, and the test is on 10 of those. You must know all of them to ensure a good grade. Other part of test is essay, not that bad. It's open book, but it doesn't really help

I could hardly ever understand this prof. He just lectured off powerpoints. He does give out study guides that are right off the tests, so those are not too hard. I didnt learn hardly anything though.

At some points, the professor is hard to understand because of his Chinese accent, but after just a little while, you get used to it. The class it tough, but fair. I enjoyed it alot because it was down to earth and unbias.

Dr. Zhou is a good, fun guy, although his class is too boring to even explain. His lectures are terribly mundane. But, he is a funny guy, and makes jokes when he can. At first, you can't understand a word he says because of his oriental accent, but after time, you'll catch on and be able to better comprehend accents in general I think.

Pretty much all of the notes are on BlackBoard and the only time we did anything in class besides lecture was on Fridays. Almost no homework assignments, only Friday In-Class activities. Tests are hard even even though he gives study guides because the guides are pretty much everything in your notes, but not everything that is on the test.
