Easy class, just do what's required (a discussion post a week), and there's a few quizzes, and a final exam. The book is helpful, but you could probably pass without it.

Comment:

I took his online abnormal psych class and finished with a 97. This class was not only interesting, but Fisak's teaching style was effortless and I didn't find myself stressing about this class at all. Answers emails punctually and is always friendly and respectful. I would definitely take a class with him again.

Comment:

I had Dr. Fisak for abnormal last semester, and this class is very, VERY similar to that. He even admitted to that during one of his first announcements. One easy discussion post a week, and a quiz every 2-3 weeks. A very caring professor who truly wants his students to succeed, even though you may sparsely hear from him.

If you have the chance, take Dr. Fisak. He shows genuine concern for his students and does a great job of putting questions on the test that are actually relevant to his lectures/powerpoints. Attendance isn't mandatory, but showing up will help you get a better grade. He's pretty easy on the eyes too for a middle-aged guy.

So nice, so on the same level as the students. Very understanding and willing to help. I learned a whole lot and got an A, so there's no way I could say anything but great things. Tests are straightforward and the book is totally useless.

BORING! Don't buy the book!!! Nothing is out of the book! If you can get the notes you do not need to go to class! It is a horribly boring class to sit through, the most boring class I've had. Nice guy. Fair tester.

Fisak is kind of boring sometimes but you have to go to class so that u can get the notes. He doesn't take attendance though. Don't buy the book. Its easy to get a B in this class you have to work a lil hard to get an A.

Great professor! Grad student, but knows his stuff. Funny, engaging. Don't buy the book- all tests come from notes, and they are pretty easy and very straightforward. Come to class and you'll do just fine.

Didn't like him at first, but his teaching style grew on me and I'd def take him again. He puts up basic notes on power point but u gotta take the rest yourself from the examples he gives. Very clear, like I said I'd take him again

Interesting teacher, tests aren't hard, just come to class and take notes. He's a little nerdy but fun too. Boring class, but you have to take it so take it with him. Research paper due at the end of the semester. About 10 pages. Takes some time.

He's awesome, really into his classes and goes out of his way to get everyone passing, but if you dont go to class a lot he wont cut you any slack, but his classes are fun so i never wanted to miss. he gives you a lot of extra credit just by sending out surveys he gives you for him.

Fisak's class was great. He's a grad student, but very knowledgeable. Gave good examples, good notes, and gave a study guide before each exam. Do the study guide, pretty much guaranteed A. Easy class, but you learn a lot too.Make sure to take the pre-reqs

Comment:

Decent human. A little scary sometimes, especially the fact that he remembers EVERYTHING. Tests were hard, but the class was hard, so it probably wasn't him. Ask lots of questions!!!!
