Professor Atta is a very funny teacher, he talks pretty fast at times when he gets excited and is a bit confusing at times but you really learn ALOT. The class is highly dependent on being present for lectures, doing the reading and "asking questions". The class was fun and the lectures were amusing.

Awesome Professor! Bruce is hilarious, not one day where I did not laugh. Despite his handwriting, his lectures were never boring or hard to understand. Overall really engaging professor! Would really recommend! Easy work, I believe there was only 2 midterms, a final, and short essay.

Funny guy but hates when class doesnt participate. You have to speak up in that class or else he gets super annoyed and irritated. Pretty tough grader on take home parts of test and his handwriting is atrocious. He even tells students his handwriting is horrible but doesnt opt for powerpoint lectures? He gives you pdf copy of textbook though.

Bruce was one of the first professors I took at csla and he is still the best I've had. I took another of his classes and loved it just as much (I ended up changing my major to phil bc of him). classes consist of a lot of note taking and lecture but it is all interesting. Recommend taking 1600 or 3730, both classes help strengthen critical thinking

I get lazy to write reviews but this guy deserves it. Atta is such an enthusiastic professor. I usually hate philosophy but this was by far my favorite class. He is student-friendly and literally gives the answers to the exams during lecture (powerpoint slides) you just need to write them down. No studying necessary because he gives open note exams

He is very passionate about what he teaches. If you dont understand something, he will explain it to you to help you. What was hard about his class is that he speaks really fast and his handwriting is hard to read at times. But he still gives you points on the exams even if you get them wrong.

As an art major, I had to take this course to cover my UD GE. Bruce was such a passionate instructor. He has academic literacy, which basically means you'll be jotting down words you may have never heard before. He also talks very fast, I would recommend using a voice recorder to go back and review your notes.

took him twice, liked both the classes. he allows open notes so if you take phil just to learn then its perfect since notes will be allowed and you dont need spit back out info. you can actually digest it instead. recommended class for GEs. Got Bs in both his Phil 151(quarter system) & Phil 3850 (last semester)

Professor Atta's level of terminology is at a proficient level... and it doesn't make it easier that he speaks super fast. Another thing is that his hand writing is literally chicken scratch! But they are essential for the midterms because they are open note exams! (1 essay 2 midterms)

Class lectures makes you think, Will have an essay to write really read the chapters the will help for your Test I was not allowed to use notes so dont depend on that. Writing is extremely illegible but he will repeat the things on the board.

Philosophy of sex is a new and interesting class. Professor Atta is amazing, one of the best professors in a philosophy department and my favorite professor of all... midterm & final open notes, paper-five pages. Go to lectures and enjoy your time, take a good notes and you'll be FINE.

Professor Atta is very passionate about philosophy, and it shows. The class consisted of a midterm and final. which are T/F, definitions, fill in, and short essay. they are tricky. You are allowed to use your notes, so don't miss class. Also an essay which was easier. Good luck.
