Comment:
If you take Philosophy with anyone other than O'Neal, you're going to have a bad time. This man redeemed Philosophy as a subject for me. I took it once before, and failed because of unclear and unrealistic expectations. Took it with O'Neal? Passed AND learned a lot! I was going through a rough semester at the time and he worked with me. Great Prof.

Summer Philosophy class with O'neal though might look heavy (it's still 3 credits earned in 2 weeks), he is very understandable and makes thing much easier for his students. He is really good in communicating his point, and has increased my appreciation for philosophy, especially how it relates to my life. A MUST TAKE for Philosophy!

Comment:
Philosophy with O'Neal seriously changed my life. His unit on logic changed the way I think about hermeneutics, science, everyday speech... His explanation of the epistemic shift changed the way I think about apologetics, and intern evangelism. Zuber is known for presupositionalism, but O'Neal is actually the one who originally convinced me.

Comment:
The reading comes all at once and can be lengthy. It's easy to fall behind. He as an excellent communicator with a good attitude, but I suspect he has a wit that could you pierce you deeply if you got on his nerves. His sarcasm can be sharp if you catch it. he has a hillariously dry sense of humor.

A wise man, a perceptive philosopher, and a Godly guy. My only complaint is that he is often unwilling to answer questions in class, prompting you to, "Wait for apologetics". Aside from that, amazing professor.

A great combination of personal qualities: smart, funny, and a calvinist. Seriously, Mr. Oneal changed the way I view the world. This class laid the foundation from which I have been able to begin to look at all things from what I think is a distinctly Christian perspective. Take him for anything and everything.

Tough standards and reading assignments that'll make you cry, but in the end he's surprisingly generous--though not exactly encouraging. One of the more interesting courses I've taken, but not one to take at 8 a.m.
