Easy grader, terrible outside of class. Attendance is "mandatory" as in it's counted as the homework that you turn in. I showed up to his lectures and zoned out and just copied what he wrote down. I went to his office hours for a basic concept question and he told me "are you dumb?" and proceeded to confuse me even more. Learned more on YouTube.

I did poorly on one exam and my grade dropped drastically. I went to office hours to go over the exam and he was not helpful. He said I should know what I did wrong and refused to show me the correct work and answers. He said basically said I was dumb if I didn't know the answer.

Missed a problem on an exam, and found verbatim in the textbook that says otherwise. Tried seeing him for grade corrections and he had the audacity to tell me that the textbook was wrong completely. Why are we using that textbook then?? I would avoid him.. he doesn't seem to have a clue on what's going on

Good: Exams are more than fair and closely resemble the review problems. Extra credit for good attendance. Bad: The lecture is hard to follow and unhelpful. Use the textbook examples. I basically attended lecture for the extra credit and zoned out. Boring. Overall: If you don't mind learning from the book, this is a perfectly average class.

He does not offer much help in the office. He gives practice exams but gets mad if you ask questions about them and won't cover the problems. Constantly says thing like "you should already know this" or "that's not my problem". Very calloused professor and doesn't care much if you learn or not.

Homework has extra credit incorporated in it. His lectures are great. There is a little bit of a language barrier, but he tells you everything you need to know. He gives sample exams that are a lot like the actual exam. My advice is to get A's so you don't have to take the final test. He was a great teacher and very helpful in his office.

He gives so much extra credit! If you do your homework and study for the exams, you'll be fine. He definitely is helpful if you ask and curves in favor of students. I would take him again, if I could.

Often went over problems in the book or difficult test answers. Expected us to memorize formulae for tests and REALLY emphasized it. (Thankfully also frequently reviewed these formulae in c lass.) Decent amount of extra credit opportunities.

The curve was ridiculously in favor of students. Tests are hard and grading is harsh, but he spends the class prior to a test going over EXACTLY the material on the test. TONS and TONS of extra credit. Very thorough explaining the material. One test we could bring in a cheat sheet. I'd definitely take him for another class if I have option.

Probably the worst professor I've had at Wright State. Understood him fine, but his interest in actually teaching was minimal at best. As others noted, he's more interested in rote memorization than actual understanding. Tests did not reflect material discussed in class. He basically spent the whole time doing overheads with minimal explanation.

He really has something against caucasians and Americans. He goes off an rants that have nothing to do with the class and offers little to no help, you are on your own.. Stay away from!

His accent can make things difficult to understand. His lectures largely consist of him copying down formula's from the book on the overhead and then moving on. Assigns a large amount of homework. Couple this with the poor textbook and you have a terrible combination. With the exception of few, WSU's math department continues to underwhelm me.

Did a poor job explaining things? He also mispronounces some things like hypotenuses (he pronounced it hypotaneous). That caused some confusion.

This professor is a prime example of the fact that a PhD in Mathematics doesn't make you a good teacher. I would have learned more from a Master of Education with a Bachelor's in Mathematics.

This professor must have changed a lot since most have rated him. I thought he was an outstanding teacher. His accent is a little thick, but easy to get past. Show up to class, do homework, treat the review sheets like practice tests, and you'll easily pass. Not to mention, you'll come out better at Calculus. I highly recommend him for Calc 3.

I had him for Calc 3 and thought his class was very straightforward. Although his lectures were fairly dull, they were crystal clear. His expectations are very clear and his tests are exactly like the homework and review packets. I am certainly not a calculus wizard, but anyone can do well in his class if they pay attention and do the hw.

The guy's teaching style makes it difficult to follow in class. Taking notes is almost impossible. He has slides he uses but runs through them so quickly you would have to be a magician to take notes on them. Some slides and example are wrong. He never uses the text book either. He always goes on a rant about some useless topic

Awesome teacher. Homework and review packet covered 100% of the types of problems that appeared on the test. Your grade is relative to the highest in the class, unless the highest grade is way higher than the second highest, in which case that grade is disregarded. If you are motivated to learn the material, you will do well. Finished with >100%
