I took this class online, and let me tell you, it was the best experience I have ever had. I had reviews above about the tests being hard. Untrue. The test questions were strictly pulled from lecture notes. There is an essay you have to do and all I did was try and genuinely interest myself, and I got full credit. I ended this class with 100%.

I didnt use the textbook, just went off what he gave online and passed his class. Philo is a cool subject if you enjoy deep thinking. He has a writing assignment after each segment which arent too long (6 total) and 3 tests that you have the freedom to take anytime in the semester. Take good notes and focus on the study guides he gives!

No structure for the class, if you take online, you are just teaching yourself through readings. Study guides have NOTHING to do with the exams, if you rely on it, you'll miss lots of specifics covered in the exam. The questions are very unclear and can easily be misinterpreted even if you studied really well & know the content, it doesn't matter

THE WORST COLLEGE EXPERIENCE TO DATE. The entire class is graded on three super difficult tests that have nothing to do with his study guide. He is never present, doesn't care and hardly is worthy of being called a "teacher". Don't do it.

This class consisted of 3 exams, all due on the same day during finals week, and a 5 page term paper due the week before finals week. He grades all of his exams and the paper on a curve, which means you don't know what grade you get until everyone in the class has taken it. Study the lectures the day of the exam and you'll get at least a B.

3 tests for the majority of your grade. Weird layout on Canvas, and super lecture heavy. Final term paper was advised to write as though you're explaining the concept to someone who isn't familiar with it, but then docks grades for not covering intricate details. I'm sure he's a great guy, and I might have enjoyed the course more in person.

Professor Greene is a funny experimental professor. He brought us surprised experiments. He had a small brake in the middle of his 1.5 hour lecture, which was really useful. It is true to say that the course material is hard. However, he considered the materials for students. If you study hard with the textbook, B is not very hard to achieve.

I really did not end up enjoying this class. Of course Greene loves philosophy and you can tell he loves discussing it, but his lectures always seemed to drag on. HATED how the class was set up, rarely updates on canvas, test heavy, writes everything on the board for notes (in AWFUL handwriting). I really struggled overall but has some decent info

He is a tough grader with no clear rubric for his expectations. He doesn't elaborate on how to improve. The grades are dependent solely on 3 tests.

As an individual, Dr. Greene is a great guy. He's funny, witty, and keeps things light. He is extremely intelligent and patient, and will take the time to make sure you understand difficult concepts fully before moving on. That being said, he has a tendency to allow students or himself to hijack more than half the class period to go off on tangents

Dr. Greene is phenomenal. Insofar as reading, if you take a philosophy class, you should expect to read. Don't know why people hold that against him. He'll explain concepts if you don't get them and is usually a patient, well thought out lecturer. He does cover a lot of material in the lectures, so show up.

I took this as an online class. The whole class was worth 100 points so if you miss anything you are in trouble from the get go. There is a lot of reading and is very confusing. The Professor takes 2 weeks to grade assignments and tests.

You have to go to class in order to get a good grade. He is a great teacher who loves Philosophy. If you don't understand something he is more than willing to help you understand. He moves quickly so you just have to be on the ball, read the stuff, and you'll do fine in the class. I am not a huge Philosophy geek and passed just fine.

This was a good online class but with the large amounts of reading material to cover and weak study guides for the tests make it difficult to prepare. Test are difficult and are worth roughly 75% of your grade. I would take again if I had to, but would avoid if at all possible. Seems like a good fellow, just not the best online program set up.

Notes/reading does not relate to what is on the exam. Needs to spend time updating information and spell check. I would not recommend this class.

I took this class online and never received anything from the professor. He might as well not have existed. Also, the only things that go on your grade are 3 exams which are hard, and a final paper. One bad test score screws up your entire grade
